Why can’t sales taxes pay for the roads, schools, police, and fire departments? I really want to know where that revenue is going.
Why do I need to be a SLAVE who pays RENT to the government for forever?

@ChrisMartzWX Property tax is wonderful. Income tax gets taken out before you see it and people don’t feel it. Property tax is variable based on your choice as to how much property you own and you see it in a more real way than you do income or sales tax. That is good.

Those services can be paid for with our property tax revenue when you still owe payments for loans.
My point is that once you finally pay the mortgages off, your land and/or vehicles should be YOURS. You shouldn’t be a slave paying rent to the government for the rest of your life unless you buy a new house or new vehicle.
The whole point of ownership is that you don’t owe anyone else anything.
