Wasn't in this meeting, so can't really add any context. But from the outside looking in, this was the biggest takeaway from it.
Stadium lease sale (related party) plugged big gap in accounts (+/-). Without it, assume it would have been a significant loss & poss. issue re PSR.

Fair to say Newcastle United would have breached PSR without the St James’ Park lease sale, but CFO Simon Capper insists that wasn’t rationale. “The motivation was very much to reorganise our property assets and get them into the correct legal boxes to allow us to go forward with our potential development, either at St James’ Park or for a new stadium, and to facilitate that with financing and other similar items."

Eddie Howe needs to get Woltemade playing a lot closer to goal.
While he's playing behind the 9 for Germany today, he is operating in much more advanced areas and as a result is having much more impact in final third.
The amount of times I have seen him be playing as deep as a DM for Newcastle this season is criminal.

Tonali is class and would continue to get better with the right players around him but we fucked it last summer so its hardly a surprise players want out. If he does want to go then get a good fee early and don't repeat last years bullshit

@CoachMeron No we don't. We have a lot of players out of contract this summer which is a very unique scenario. That will free up salary for SCR (eg Targett is on £100k pw). Our books are still well balanced and with this seasons CL money coming in, we don't need to sell.

I don’t think it’s a WANT. But it’s realism.
If we don’t get European football, let alone Champions League, we need to sell 1-2 of our key players to:
- Make up the shortfall in CL revenue we miss out on
- Boost our spending money to rebuild the squad
But more importantly, we can’t keep a Tonali level of player with no CL football.
There is already so much talk from his agent angling away so it just looks like he wants away himself.
Get a huge fee and use it to rebuild the squad if he does want away.
And I would rather keep Bruno.

I can't understand how willing the fanbase seems to sell Tonali. He's played 47 club games this season by the way, ran into the ground. How about get rid of the dross players and convince the European internationals to stay, just a thought.
