Don’t think the Lucas Bergvall deal will progress at the moment. Newcastle have been offered the player but are not interested at the current asking price. Things can change, as ever, but that’s where things stand today. They’ve got other deals lined up and the focus is on those #nufc

@Scott77863961 @LeeTheMag @LukeEdwardsTele Jesus Christ “your” dense 😂 Agents want his name out there. They want clubs to know others are bidding for him etc. It’s not fucking complicated Scott. Appreciate you have a childlike level of comprehension

@Bob_Helpful @LeeTheMag @LukeEdwardsTele Jesus Christ your dense, what benefit would it be for an agent whose trying to get his player out a club to pay a journo that we’ve rejected higher bids if the possibility is getting him out for cheaper 😂😂

@Blue_Danny_ @YSLRNUFC €300m sales last summer and yes signed €300m of players as well. You’ve always spent far more than you’ve sold this summer as well

Chelsea are a brilliant control experiment for how many things a supposedly elite club can get wrong, how much money you can waste and how far you can fall from grace in combination and still have high level players wanting to join.

@RichySouthern @jamiereuben Disengaged owners who aren’t football. There’s very unlikely to be any chance at the top. Likely Howe will get the blame / sack if seasons starts badly

If we make a mess of another summer, will there actually be any accountability? Last year there were mitigating circumstances. No sporting director, no CEO and a leadership structure in transition. Those excuses don’t exist this time. @jamiereuben publicly spoke about working tirelessly this summer to put things right. Selling Gordon and Tonali, potentially losing Bruno too, suffering another two embarrassing transfer hijacks and watching our best player employ a disgraced agent to engineer his exit hardly feels like things being put right. At what point do repeated setbacks stop being dismissed as bad luck and start prompting serious questions about the people responsible? How much has to go wrong before someone at the top asks whether we actually have the right people in the right positions? Because ambition isn’t just about spending money or talking about where you want to be in five years. It’s about standards, execution and accountability when those standards aren’t met. Would any genuinely ambitious club accept the same failings repeatedly without eventually demanding change?
Richy@RichySouthern

The disconnect for me is that the people running the club talk about becoming one of the biggest clubs in world football, while supporters are sat here just wanting us to not have every fan base in the country taking the piss out of us. They just want to see a club that acts with competence, authority and ambition. A club that isn’t constantly losing out on targets, getting dragged through public sagas or finding itself at the centre of ridicule. Fans have been asked to pay more through memberships, ticket increases, shirts and merchandise. That’s fine if the football operation is moving forward too. But right now it feels like supporters are being sold a vision of what Newcastle might become while repeatedly being asked to ignore what’s happening in front of them. Nobody expects perfection. They just expect better than this. And the reality is that perception matters. Players, agents and clubs all see the same headlines and hear the same narratives. At some point Newcastle need a genuine breakthrough moment that changes how the club is viewed across football. Not another promise, not another five-year plan. A statement that shows we’re becoming what we’re told we’re aspiring to be.

@filmillers @Toxicmop @LukeEdwardsTele You said Bentancur would be our best player. And you claim know and understand football. But again, appreciate you’ve not actually been inside a football stadium in years

@Bob_Helpful @Toxicmop @LukeEdwardsTele That must have been a real challenge. You beat the worst Spurs time in over 50 years. Do you think about what you’re saying at all or are you addicted to humiliation?

@Bob_Helpful @Toxicmop @LukeEdwardsTele You need to stop talking about Spurs. You very clearly do not know what you’re talking about & it’s fucking painful reading your bullshit. I look forward to NUFC signing him & you start worshipping him which you absolutely fucking will. Now off you fuck you thick cunt.

We’re officially a more attractive proposition than Newcastle. Hardly surprising when they’ve got Howe, the anti football terrorist as their manager and all their players are desperate to leave. Newcastle is an absolute shit hole as well, unlike Costa Del Coventry #PUSB #NUFC
Alex Crook ⚽️🎙@alex_crook

Understand #NUFC contacted Carl Rushworth's agent last week but were told his priority is a permanent return to Coventry #PUSB. Feels that will provide a better pathway to a Champions League club and England call-up. #BHAFC remain reluctant sellers but player pushing.

@Bob_Helpful @Toxicmop @LukeEdwardsTele & whilst I don’t like Bentancur he’d instantly be your best player. But don’t worry I wouldn’t expect you to realise that; you still Joelinton is good

@filmillers @Toxicmop @LukeEdwardsTele When Thomas Frank stopped being your mananger he still couldn’t get in the team. Appreciate you don’t go to football games, but maybe try not to talk down to those who actually do. I’ve probably been to spurs ground more times than you

Yeh, I’ve already said you’re clueless so I have absolutely no idea why you’re trying to prove it beyond any doubt. Thomas Frank is the worst manager we have ever had. That’s clear to people who like & are knowledgable about football. You’re not & that’s fine. Just stop trying to pretend you are; it’s cringe as fuck

@Bob_Helpful @Scott77863961 @LukeEdwardsTele And our owners are clearly doing something to address that! Even if we are overpaying. Still have pull with b2b 17th finishes. You’re currently fighting Coventry for a GK ffs, grow up and know your place.
