As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, at 12:59pm on Wed 3/18/26, all cell phones in Ingham County will activate their "Wireless Emergency Alert" (WEA) feature. In addition, at 1pm the countywide outdoor warning (tornado) sirens will be activated. THIS IS ONLY A TEST! #MIwx

March 23, 2022 UPDATE: The statewide tornado drill for today has been CANCELED by our state and National Weather Service partners. As a result, the outdoor warning siren system in Ingham County will NOT be activated and NOAA Weather Radios will not alert. #MIWX

Road temps in the Lansing area are sitting right around the freezing mark as reported by @MDOT_LanJxn snowplows. As this next round of snow moves in, we'll start to see more of that stick especially on rural and untreated roads.
