@JustDaltonNow The issue with the enjoyers side is that nostalgia is short term novelty for the movie and restricted to an audience outside of film. After it's burnt out the movie is left as is, a poor story telling experience that doesn't hold up on its own especially on rewatch

@JustDaltonNow Those who enjoyed it enjoyed it for its references. The movie was a celebration of their entire Mario experience and that alone. Those who hated it treat it as a separate experience for those who don't have history with Mario to expand the audience to non gamers.

I’ve noticed two very different reactions to this movie based on what political camp you reside in. People who are progressives are leaning more toward hating the movie meanwhile people who lean to the right seem to have had a fun time watching it. I wonder why that is.

When I first played FF7 Remake and Rebirth, I never quite understood the significance of this moment. I didn’t fully understand Zack and what he went through, but having played Crisis Core and OG FF7, this reunion is fucking insane. I might have to replay the remakes…

@DashingDavidYT in a way remake feels more like a sequel than a remake given it assumes you are aware of what happens in the main games.

This remake series plans to close the entire FF7 series which requires not following prior events which again is avoided by Sephiroth and opposed by Omni Aerith. The story has not been following OG since the end of Remake

@Nemrick81 @_SpyDtroid_ Which leaked Zack in. Which would only have impact in story for the players if you knew he died. As someone new coming in without the Context Zack has zero impact to the player and current story. the context adds all the value of his return and his role
