Today I started a 21-day hunger strike to support my dear friend Alaa Abd -el-Fattah, still in prison in Egypt. His 68-yo mum is also striking. She hasn’t eaten for 113 days. We are outside Downing St each day demanding the Brit Govt do more to help one of their own.
