@SilentGhost263 If this selection paralysis is real as you say, then Scott needs to be firm and clear on what he wants. That’s his job - give clarity on the direction he wants, context on why he wants it this way and stick to his gun and do not deviate. I’m not so confident he does that.

you can definitely feel that Scott & the selection committee are torn. on one hand they clearly want to play the kids in proper, significant roles at AFL level. on the other hand they can't just drop all our senior bodies or risk leaving the kids without protection or support.

We have categorically found one in Jacob Farrow. In only his second game he finished with 21 disposals at 90pc efficiency. His 358 metres gained the third best for the Dons. Only one clanger.

✍️ “The current state of the game” After tomorrow, the early “Bye Rounds” will finally be over 🙏 From next season it needs to end! The 2026 early fixture has been horrendous. I hope I’m wrong but the rest of the season isn’t looking much better. The mid-season “Bye Rounds” are only 8 weeks away! That’s another 5 weeks of “Bye Rounds”. I’m not sure having 9 “Bye Rounds” in a 24 round season is good for the game 🤷 There’s just going to be no momentum this season, whilst the gap between the best and worst teams continues to widen. The current competition is not nearly as even as it should be and seems to be getting worse. We’ve already seen a lot of 50+ point thrashings. A team last night scored 35 points and lost by over 21 goals at home! Tassie coming soon won’t help either. It’s only Round 4 and we already have three teams- Richmond, Carlton and Essendon whose seasons are over. They will be lucky to win 10 games combined. West Coast and Port Adelaide won’t be as bad but aren’t far behind. I’m sure the race for the “Top 6” will be exciting come seasons end but it’s going to be a very long year ahead for many with so many average and poor games each week. At least we have “Wildcard Round” to look forward too 🤷‍♂️ What about the new rules? It’s still early days…but No sub, 5 on the bench ✅ 🙏 The Ruck - 🤦‍♂️ The “Stand” - 👎 The last touch out of bounce- 🤔 🤷‍♂️ Would love your thoughts on some or all of the ⬆️ Some may like “Opening Round”, the new rules or think the game is in good shape and that’s fine!
