My garage is filled to the brim with liquidation goods. Rugs Treadmills Kitchen sinks Strollers Mostly Facebook marketplace sales, some eBay. Spend less than 4 hours per week processing/selling. Can scale up or down based on family needs. Perfect side hustle for a busy dad.

@plasticboss You’d think I would have thought of this after hundreds of rugs processed but that’s why I love this app. This one will be perfect for a buffer between the driveway because it’s one of the washable that folds up nicely. Thank you for the tip!

@JakeKern I'm always nervous about getting the back dirty when I clean mine. I'm saving one that I was going to scrap to use as one as a protecting barrier from my floor when I lay them out for inspection

Timelapse of me spending too much time processing a single rug that I ultimately ended up scraping because of too many stains 🎉

Afternoon schedule 1:30-2:00 Zoom with cohort of resellers 2:00-2:15 Client call for my W2 job Took both calls at the playground while my kids played. At 1:58 I’m signing off zoom to be ready for my client to call. I look over at my 2 year old to see her having an accident on a slide. Phone rings as I’m charging her and cleaning up. Call goes great, client is happy. Juggling a lot of balls but wouldn’t have it any other way.

@JakeKern Are you buying through Costco? What % or retail do you usually get?

Remember this guys morning routine? Mine looks a little different. Each day before heading to my w2, I set the day’s Facebook marketplace pick ups on my porch. $3000 in sales every month with this system. While I’m away in my cubicle, customers pick up their items, sending me a Venmo or leaving cash in my mailbox. You don’t need a fancy storefront or warehouse, you just need to get started.

While I don’t flip electronics, I do resell home goods like rugs, kitchen sinks and baby strollers Follow @JakeKern to see how I sell $3000+ of liquidation goods from my garage every month

They call me the Taco Man! Just striped my fourth Taco Bell. He's been a great client. Will probably be a seal and stripe later in the year, but he needed a restripe done immediately, so I was happy to oblige. There's some potholes that need cut out and patched too, as you can see in this bumpy video. These are quick, easy jobs, and I love seeing the work I've done around the community. The bonus was going home with a party pack comped by the owner.

What would you do with an extra $1000 each month? I make $1000 plus every month (net), selling liquidation items from my garage. Rugs, kitchen sinks, strollers. Mostly Facebook marketplace some eBay. The cash goes right to my family’s travel funds. This side hustle allows me to hit savings goals and still have epic travel experiences with my wife and kids. I could put effort into growing this side hustle into a business. But right now, I’m happy with what my w2 is providing.

On this episode of “the bank is having a Monday” We spent 2 1/2 hours opening 2 business accounts at a new bank. Our 4 kids made themselves right at home. No one had a meltdown. I still don’t understand why it takes that long to open a new account. Or why this office looks like a prison. But we I am fairly certain we’ve upgraded.

I can't believe I am typing this... I just went to make a purchase using my business debit card. Declined. Well that's strange because I know for certain the funds are available. So I call the bank to see what's up. She looks at my account, all is in order. Escalates the call to another department. Do you want to know what they said? This is a direct quote, "The system that handles this is having a Monday. When this happens, it usually takes around a half hour to reset your daily limit allowance. During this time, your daily limit is restricted. So sorry for the inconvenience." Umm... I'm sorry but... my BANKING system is "having a Monday?!" That doesn't work for me. I laughed, and said I have been having a Monday for the last two weeks (which is true... see previous hacking experience posts). But that being said, I need a new bank. Immediately. This is ridiculous Suggestions? And before you ask, no I'm not telling you what bank I use (because... please {again} see previous posts about how I was just hacked). I trust no one 🤪 Oh and also, if you enjoy hearing real time insane updates about my reselling business and every hootenanny that comes with it... here I am, telling it all: @hey_mindi

@JakeKern @bstocksol Very hard to sell anything more than 5 years old particularly in bulk. Margins are very thin, if you look on Ebay you will see what I mean for old stuff. Not at all impossible to make money and scalable, but those pallets will go for closer to retail and compress margins.

Someone who is smarter than me is going to make a lot of money buying pallets of laptops from @bstocksol today ~5-10% msrp seems crazy to me. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyone have experience selling liquidated laptops/electronics?

@JakeKern @bstocksol A lot of these end up going for 60 to 70% of retail though. From what I see. I think unless you specialize in that market, it would be kind of difficult to make a decent margin off of it.

My entire store is up for sale $379k including the inventory. 400 items listed on EBay…500 or more soon. Whatnot sales channel Email list…it’s all included. Why…because my goal all along was to make $1,000 - 700 times to buy my dream yacht. This is part of my journey to make that happen

@z_heisey @jakekern @bstocksol Well you don’t know anything about the laptops so my guess is that they are the old models that didn’t sell. I’m generalizing. It’s still an extremely saturated market. If you can get them for $50ea all in with shipping, sure but your cost per unit is unlikely to be that low

I’m out of a job… Yesterday was my last day of work. My wife and I got started reselling in April last year after joining @ShannonJean’s group, and now we’ve quit to go all in. We’ve got a warehouse, about $80-100k of inventory, and a goal to build a real business
