I’m out of a job… Yesterday was my last day of work. My wife and I got started reselling in April last year after joining @ShannonJean’s group, and now we’ve quit to go all in. We’ve got a warehouse, about $80-100k of inventory, and a goal to build a real business

@caddietales @ShannonJean I’ve put in ~10k if I remember right, and have spent about 70k on inventory over the past year. So after the 10k the rest has been reinvestmenting

@joepoole @ShannonJean How much of that inventory is your upfront cost versus amount that you've already made and reinvested? Good luck and congrats!

I walked into Cabela’s tonight for the first time in 5 years. I notice the sign also says Bass Pro. Huh. Whatever. I walk in and they say “welcome to outdoor world!” Uh, ok. Three names? Wasn’t the merger a decade ago? There are more employees than customers. Total crickets. 77,000 empty square feet. The dude at the entry gives me the hard sell to join their rewards program, while the outside air is still on my neck. I’m just here for a knife dude. I won’t be back for another 5 years. I wrangle from his grasp. As we go to leave they push me to join their rewards program yet again. What a trainwreck. This is what poor management looks like.

@joepoole @ShannonJean I feel this way as well (scared). I was Full Time at a job for years and they cut my hours part time last month . Ive only been surviving because of reselling on FB marketplace but im thinking of buying a pallet to increase my income vs sourcing on FB marketplace

@joepoole Majority of items you are shipping out? My question is since you have a warehouse to store do u just include shipping price with sale price on these items or do you pay for the shipping yourself (eats into margin) when shipping out to customers?

Sat down with the team at the farm and told them about an opportunity I stumbled upon thanks to @ShannonJean of building a local liquidation business in our neck of New Hampshire. I’ve never seen the crew so hyped in my life with a clear vision to eventually leave their day jobs and just work for the ranch full time. We recently ran reports of the area and being a couple minutes drive from 2 bordering states with sales tax when we don’t have any here may give us an advantage to grab secondary market buyers as well if we build up the brand. I’v recently joined Shannon’s mastermind but if you’re in the liquidation/reselling business I’d love to connect and learn all I can collectively. We all agreed that already have trucks and storage on the homestead makes this an opportunity we had to look into.

I have one week left at work before being on my own. I'm both so relieved and so scared at the same time. This will be me for the next ~3 months
