With all due respect, as a current congressional candidate for Congress in 2026 regarding this matter, and I am not condoning what she did, however: Expelling a member of Congress is serious and requires due process, not social media claims. If there are verified findings from the Ethics Committee or a court, then action should follow. Until then, facts matter. Accountability matters, and so does due process. Congress should act on verified facts through official channels, not viral claims. To be quite blunt with you this is the process that would have to occur in order to expel her from Congress: •Allegations are investigated (Ethics Committee or law enforcement) •Evidence is gathered and formal findings are issued •If serious, the House Ethics Committee can recommend action •The full House votes on expulsion •Expulsion requires a 2/3rds vote of the House That is the only way a congressional member can be expelled. Serious allegations and bipartisan ethics findings increase pressure, but expulsion is still uncertain. It requires a 2/3 vote of the House and usually depends on final ethics findings or a conviction. I think too many people think that because they’re in Congress, they are untouchable.
