@KevinMedia4 This was you the other day, I’ve now explained it in detail why and you’re getting aggressive now. 😄

@IrishCycle Laytown/Bettystown. New road built between the villages. In fairness most are using it but can't see why anyone would head for the road. More dangerous and gives everyone a reason to get angry at 'us'

It looks grand, so, why won't some cyclists use this cycling infrastructure? irishcycle.com/2023/05/17/it-…

The tweet you quoted literally links to an article to explain to people like you why people don't use cycle lanes even "WHEN AVAILABLE", and it didn't say anything about hand signals.
If cyclists don’t use a cycle lane, there’s a good reason for it irishcycle.com/2023/04/05/if-…

@Joshstrangehill 'There was an optics festival and I wasn't informed?!' goes through my head more times than I'd care to mention. No idea if it's based on a real event but kinda don't want to know!

This raises the question "If you've loved a Simpsons joke for years but may have loved it for the "wrong" reasons, is that still legit?"
And I say YES! Comedy is subjective and jokes themselves - whatever the intent of the person who pitched it was - can be perceived in different ways. If something makes you laugh, treasure it the way it's funny to you.
(This is me for the "I can't hear you, I'm wearing a towel" joke.)

Whoa, this is turning into another Great Simpsons Joke Discussion/Debate a la "Ever see a guy say goodbye to a shoe?"
People are pointing out the letter "H" in Cyrillic is "N" so he's telling Homer to put it in neutral.
HOWEVER, to me, it's a purer, funnier joke that it's a random letter like "H" not normally seen on transmissions.
So I think it's just a coincidence and the usual Simpsons maxim "it's the simplest joke that was intended" applies.
We were there - had just started - for production of this episode but I don't remember who or when this joke was pitched. Maybe @AlJean or @MikeReissWriter or @jon_vitti know?
What do you think?

This is one of my alltime favorite Simpsons quotes. It's just 4 words long but it's perfect for so many reasons. Plus, it comes in handy anytime you're using anything.

@amyohconnor Didn't take it too seriously when i read it. Have read worse in the guardian. Just thought it was a kind of out there view of something. More blown away by the amount of fake tan bought in Ireland!

@JanetPHorner @TodaywithClaire Well said on the show, especially about the lights. I've often broken a light to get away from a pile of traffic that I know will try and mow me down if I'm in the way. Appreciate you speaking up about it all.

I'll be on @TodaywithClaire shortly discussing the worryingly low enforcement rates on dangerous overtaking of cyclists.
Have you tried to get a prosecution under this law?

@SkyIreland Hi there I saw an article over the weekend saying BBC on demand is coming to Glass Ireland as of today. Is that correct and how do I access it? Nightmare not being able to catch up on shows we could record before. Thanks.
