@harmonyponn @txtdariocs Same face syndrome can be worked around. I feel as though the outfit is just as important to make characters recognizable. It's never just one aspect that makes a unique character.

@txtdariocs While I’m a firm believer in actively improving your art style when it comes to character design, same face syndrome isn’t the end of the world. At least, people who draw ocs with similar facial features shouldn’t be attacked for their lack of knowledge.

Unpopular opinion about OCs?

@txtdariocs Don't shame people for making OCs that are "objectifying." Like, dawg, they ain't real, who fucking cares? Let people have fun with their creations. If people don't want to have body type diversity because it impedes on their fun, leave them alone.

Character flaws are necessary and does not automatically mean that the creator supports these flaws in real life.

@DailyTBLD I agree! Especially in evil or morally ambiguous characters...they're gonna have bad traits. Writing bad traits does not mean that you, as the author, support those traits in real life! Character flaws, in EVERY character, are necessary!

You should be allowed to create terrible people without getting accused of supporting what they've done in what you're writing.

@nextstepst I can see both white/gold and black/blue in that dress but I still lean toward white/gold because of the intense back lighting, which would cause a shaded front of the dress.

I’m an artist. I understand how light works. I know the dress is blue and black, I’ve ONLY ever seen it as blue and black… I cannot even comprehend how people see it as white and gold, I’ve NEVER been able to trick my brain into seeing it that way, I’ve never understood how people see white and gold, I thought for the longest time that people were making it up for attention or something. Idk if anyone else gets this. Seems like the majority of people are team White and Gold but I just genuinely don’t understand how. By: lucanbiswas17

@42ndMoose @nextstepst My issue is that, even in this cropped shot, the blue is so blue and the room looks so bright that it's basically impossible for it to be white. There are very few ways for the light to block in a way to turn white into this blue, and none of them are very store-display friendly.
