Thank you to everyone who participated in the Memorial run for Officer Robert Joe Mata yesterday. Officer Mata gave his life in the line of duty 24 years ago, but hearing the joy & pain as his partners reflected on his humor, life, & tragic death, it may as well been yesterday

It was a great 33 years with the Los Angeles Police Department, with the last ten as a Commanding Officer leading the finest men and women of Law Enforcement. Now, the next chapter dedicated to my family who has always been there to support me. I love you babe.
