I don’t think Pope Leo has paid one bit of attention to what Jesus Christ actually said, and he needs a serious reality check. He talks about peace and about Islam and Christianity being friends, but for some reason he can’t extend that same openness to LGBTQ people. That’s hypocrisy, plain and simple. That makes him a hypocrite and a false pope. Don’t get me wrong, I like that he pushes back on Donald Trump, but he needs to change his position on this and start listening to what Christ said, not what he wants Christ to have said. @Pontifex

Many jump in to say that life without kids is horrible. As a Catholic, to say that a childless existence is meaningless would be a slap in the face to all the wonderful Catholic couples who carry the cross of infertility, those who have lost children as well as to all priests and nuns. It is important to know what exactly is wrong here and what we are criticizing. Stop giving quick comebacks that aren't well thought through and end up being false. What indeed is meaningless is not life without kids per se but life spent in pursuit of empty hedonistic pleasures, mind-numbing distractions and worship of self. Choosing to not have children is the natural consequence of a mindset that shudders at the idea of sacrifice or suffering. However, once you decide to avoid any suffering at all cost, you end up emptying yourself of any purpose. Distraction itself becomes the purpose until you die.
