Fifth Avenue lights up Sunday, May 31 (11:30am–4pm, 62nd–74th St.) with tens of thousands of Jews and friends of Israel waving flags, blasting music, dancing, and celebrating the unbreakable bond with the Jewish state. But the noise is loud: The Mayor’s boycott — Zohran Mamdani is the first NYC mayor in 62 years to skip the parade. Jewish leaders are calling it out for what it is. Security on another level — Record antisemitism. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch (marching as grand marshal) announced the most extensive security operation in parade history: counterterrorism teams, explosive detection dogs, helicopters, drones, mounted units, full screening for everyone. “We are not messing around.” Free Palestine activists — The usual crowd is already organizing counter-protests and disruption fantasies. Expect the chants, the signs calling the celebration “genocide pride,” and dreams that this will somehow be their big moment to “shut it down”. SPOILER: It won’t work‼️ Jewish resilience has survived actual intifadas, rockets, and far worse than sidewalk performances. This parade isn’t about any politician. It’s about Am Yisrael Chai — the Jewish people refusing to be intimidated, erased, or lectured on when we’re allowed to celebrate. Show up loud. Show up proud. When I asked Rabbi Moshe Indig about why he attended Mayor Mamdani's Shavuot party — despite the mayor's past support for people who kill Jews — he told me "we have to respect the government" Then I asked if Mamdani wanted him to host a drag queen story hour at his yeshiva — would he do it? Indig said that would be unacceptable

BREAKING: A flag displaying two swastikas and a Star of David was raised above NYU’s Grad Alley event Wednesday evening as students, graduates, and families walked through campus. NYU Campus Safety quickly removed the flag and is working with the NYPD to identify those responsible. NYU also condemned the flag as a “hateful symbol expressing antisemitism.”

It’s a no for me.
