@DianaNazaroff @ProfTalmadge It's not the way to go if you do not have the capacity to make it or fix it, maintain or replace it, and then put tariffs on imports on it, otherwise it is one of the most efficient, mobile, portable, cheapest source of energy you can generate.

@MPainis @ProfTalmadge Also, nuclear is the way to go, not solar. Did you see the recently destroyed solar installation in Indiana, US? From a tornado - which we have regularly. The array was less than 2 years old. Not worth the money - that's why we're not doing solar or wind.

@DianaNazaroff @ProfTalmadge Good luck on that but there are big differences in having mega large fields of rare earths and sporadic patches which will run out before even making a profit from mining them, either way it will be better if you can get them yourselves at 10x the price.

@MPainis @ProfTalmadge The US is building up its rare earth processing - which is the only thing China has control of. The US, Japan and other countries have plenty of rare earth materials, they just don't have the processing. But that's changing...

@DianaNazaroff @ProfTalmadge Even if accurate which these ignorant talking heads are often not, China is moving on to renewables for power generation even reducing percentage of coal use, picture this, China generates almost triple the electric power the USA use yearly but use far less oil.

@MPainis @ProfTalmadge Have you read anything by Doomberg? They're energy industry experts and they've indicated that China hasn't mastered the technology to get the oil out of the shale yet. They're currently in economic distress, due to the US tariffs and their real estate probs. This will worsen it.

@DianaNazaroff @ProfTalmadge As I said who controls rare earths control the future, and China have over half of the world's known reserves, which is why Trump is so afraid of green energy.

@Roper70 @ProfTalmadge You mean after watching 13 of your bases in the Gulf completely destroyed and how the Strait of Hormuz is closed to you, and how you have been cannibalizing military assets in Asia, China just announced a new large swath of no fly zone in the East Sea and USA, not a word.

Yeah. Three times the US beat China's most advanced radar and other technology. None of their ship killer missiles worked, with half falling in the sea before contact. They have fired most of the military leadership in the last few months. They found water instead of propellant in many of their nuclear missiles. They just disappeared the chief designer of the latest fighters. Their newest aircraft carrier was back in port after a week. Just had US military might demonstrated to them openly. More than half of their oil has been cut off. I am sure they are itching for a fight.

@DianaNazaroff @ProfTalmadge Almost no oil go into their electric power generation and oil dependency is falling year on year, electric cars and drones need no oil, and China is increasingly powered by Rare Earth which will be the new lifeblood of the 21st century more important than oil that USA have little

@ProfTalmadge China's technology failed in both Iran and Venezuela. They are currently suffering shortages of oil due to most of their imports coming through Hormuz and what they are getting is a LOT more expensive. I don't think we have anything to worry about for a while.

Military-focused leadership will always choose to fight - because the hard part of building an economic and nation-building isnt their responsibility. This conundrum was faced by Imperial Japan in World War 2 as well. The Imperial Army wanted to fight on; but the civilian side managed to pull off under them and gotten the Emperor of Japan to announce the surrender. When the surrender is heard, the Army also lost their will to fight.

@peterwildeford @foomagemindset @teortaxesTex The reason China do not invade is not because they fear US intervention, the US is a paper tiger, but it is because they want Taiwan intact, economically sound and viable, say whatever you want but China is Taiwan's largest trading partner by far, the cons are all economic.

1. strong naval + air superiority 2. sufficient sealift + logistics 3. suitable beaches 4. surprise Taiwan is uniquely bad on almost all of these. China's sealift currently can't move enough force in the first wave. Only ~13 viable landing beaches, all known and fortified for 75 years. 100+ mile crossing under satellite surveillance means zero surprise. Weather windows limit attempts to ~2 months/year.

I've been hearing that the US committing to Iran means China can now "just take Taiwan". This is a massive oversimplification. Lack of US deterrence would make it from 'incredibly hard' to merely 'very hard'. Amphibious invasion across 100+ miles of open water to terrible landing geography is still the hardest thing any military can do. Taiwan's own $40B asymmetric warfare budget, Japan's deterrence, PLA's inexperience, and economic self-deterrence all matter independently of US missile stocks. Also US deterrence wouldn't be literally 0 here.
1a3orn@1a3orn

The Iran debacle moves up the time from when China could take Taiwan at will from "a few years from now", to "more or less now." If China doesn't end up conquering Taiwan, it's imo because they prefer a peaceful assimilation to a faster one. Update your AI future projections.

@irmilitaryvlog @TweetDisliker @cirnosad Iran been playing both side of their ass too, and China never blamed them, but now you are crying about getting access to Beidou for non interruptible targeting and intelligence, getting access to raw materials while China banned certain military material to USA is not enough.

Never forget that Russia and China helped the US place over a decade of US resolutions against Iran the moment the Americans offered them package and reset-of-relations deals. These are not free or principled nations and their support for Iran has been negligible.

Iran didn’t suddenly become reasonable. It got squeezed by the US and betrayed by China at the same time. On April 2, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, stated that China does not support Iran’s attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He condemned indiscriminate attacks on civilians and emphasized that maritime routes must remain secure. Speaking at the UN Security Council, he said that escalating conflict in the Middle East not only destabilizes regional peace but also directly impacts global energy, finance, trade, and shipping, harming the shared interests of all countries. He added that the root cause of the conflict lies in U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran, which he said violate the principles of the United Nations and international norms. Preventing further escalation requires the U.S. and Israel to halt military operations. At the same time, he stressed that the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Gulf states must be respected. China does not support Iran’s attacks on these countries and condemns all indiscriminate attacks on civilians and non-military targets. He also emphasized that maritime security must not be disrupted. This marks the first time Beijing has openly and explicitly criticized Iran by name at the UN Security Council. This shift shows that Beijing is no longer offering unconditional moral support to Iran. That is a major blow, because as the world’s second-largest power, China’s backing gave Iran significant confidence. Now that China has publicly criticized Iran at the UN, Iran faces a much more isolated position, which has contributed to its willingness to soften its stance and consider negotiations with the U.S. China’s shift is also driven by its own interests. Iran’s disruption of the Strait of Hormuz has heavily impacted China. A large portion of the oil shipments passing through the strait are destined for China, making it one of the most affected countries. Rising oil prices caused by the disruption also hit China hard as the world’s largest oil importer. Under these conditions, Beijing had little choice but to adjust its position. At the beginning of the conflict, China criticized only the U.S. and Israel while avoiding criticism of Iran. Now, it has openly named and criticized Iran, rejected its attacks on Gulf states, and demanded that Iran ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz. From Iran’s perspective, this shift amounts to a form of betrayal, abandoning it at a critical moment. Losing China’s support has therefore become a key factor pushing Iran to soften its position and prepare for negotiations with the United States.

BREAKING: Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi says Iran's position on peace talks in Pakistan is being "misrepresented by US media." "We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad. What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting END to the illegal war that is imposed on us," he says

China Just Abandoned Iran at the Worst Possible Moment. Iran Blinked After China Turned Its Back. After refusing negotiations, Iran suddenly agreed to talk with the U.S. following airstrikes, a 48-hour ultimatum, and a critical shift from China. The real turning point wasn’t just military pressure—it was China stepping back and publicly signaling distance at the worst possible moment. In this video, I break down what actually forced Iran to change course and how China’s calculated move left Iran exposed.

⛔️The Pentagon is hiding the truth about the failed operation last night‼️ ⛔️ The American camouflage for the landing operation at a remote airport in Isfahan was actually aimed as a major military landing operation ‼️ ⛔️The American Isfahan operation was an initial landing operation for stabilising entry routes and securing it for a large ground landing operation, and when it failed, the pentagon diverted the compass with the excuse of rescuing the pilot to justify their failure‼️ ⛔️You don’t rescue one pilot with a huge C-130 ‼️It was another major disaster and failure that they lied about‼️
