Works for us. So when did Germany get an upgrade to superpower? How big is your Navy? Air Force? Not in the future - today. We remove our troops, military equipment, aircraft, anti-air & anti-missile systems (including the three Patriot battalions and one IRIS-T SLM system operated but not owned by Germany), C4I and Comms hubs, access to military and intelligence satellites, not to mention the $6 billion (€ 5.c billion) we pay into local economies around the bases every year. Russia will wait until you upgrade your military to replace everything we take with us... right?

Trump is considering moving troops out of Germany. Just do it, stop considering. We don't need the US, we need a more integrated European Defence. A superpower doesn't need another superpower within their borders, especially when they are sometimes openly hostile.
