@MrStache9 @sidljon So true! Jim Flaherty was amazing. I remember him addressing a small group of us at the time. ‘The world tends to see Canada as, well, a bit vanilla., he said. I’d say vanilla is looking pretty darn good these days!!’

They make it sound like carnage 'Saved' Canada from the US banking crisis. Funny, we were not involved, no Cdn bank was in peril. Not even close. Our banks weren't trading Baskets of Mortgages like Pork Bellies, like the US banks were doing. It was PM Harper & his excellent FinMin, James Flaherty, (it's laughable that Little Champagne is even a FinMin) that navigated us through those times that weren't even our doing.

Coincidence? Or corruption?

@TheReclamare Odd that two on the list from Iqaluit, NU, are getting over $1M each. $3.6M combined actually. Yet they're the same firm, with the same address, in Ottawa. You can't make this stuff up. It's everywhere you look.

@william62560727 @CTVNews Did you miss the renaming? SNC-Lavalin renamed itself AtkinsRéalis, which is part of the Cadence consortium, which is renamed to Alto for the purpose of building our high speed rail that will transfer over $100 Billion (yes with a B), from our tax dollars into criminal coffers.

@DolanBrady1010 @TheReclamare The more money they siphon off to friends in Ottawa, the more money they have to print, and hence the lower the value of the dollars the rest of us work hard for. They don't just take half in taxes, they also halve the value of what we take home after taxes.

@MarkOFarrell9 @TheReclamare The amount of fraud and corruption is mind-bending. No one is looking, and everyone is in on it This country is such a joke. I have no idea why I work hard 60HRS a week for half my pay to be stolen.

@echipiuk @staines_andyjoy What are your thoughts about accountability, Eva? If there is none, are we not literally the same as Venezuela, rather than figuratively, as has often been said? Why is Trudeau free to prance about so innocently? He broke the law. We know this is true. Help me here! Why??

Four judges have now confirmed that Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act illegally. The Federal Court of Appeal has dismissed the government’s appeal of Justice Mosley’s decision, confirming once again that the use of these extraordinary powers was unconstitutional. The Court was clear: “Cabinet… did not have reasonable grounds to believe that a threat to national security existed.” In other words, the legal threshold was never met. Instead of taking responsibility, Trudeau and his government spent years appealing the decision, using public resources while hoping the issue would fade from public attention. That behaviour runs directly against the principles of democracy and good governance. In a healthy democracy, leaders are accountable when they misuse extraordinary powers. When a leader unlawfully invokes emergency powers against his own citizens and then refuses to take responsibility, that is not leadership. It is a failure of judgment and accountability. And someone who failed so profoundly at home, and then ran from that failure, should not be elevated and invited to lecture the world about democracy on the global stage. It's gotten utterly out-of-control & it will be a shameful legacy of this government. There are NO safeguards or discussions at the necessary levels to stop the exponential growth in eligibility. I know people are busy w/ their own lives, but you need to know, NO other country is killing its own people w/ this increasing intensity, numbers-wise. No one.

@KristiSeguin @for_options @RiseOfAlberta Harper mandated fiscal accountability for taxpayer funds. Trudeau reversed it as soon as he took office, and Carney has done nothing (but at this stage, Canadians are getting pretty used to that).

@RiseOfAlberta How is this possible, if this goes through we know for sure our courts are compromised. These 12 chiefs need to get back to the reserves they have destroyed. Let's audit first nations for stealing tax payer money to fund their own pockets.

🚨 BREAKING: First Nations seeking court injunction to STOP Alberta independence signature collection. The courts could be intervening in our democratic petition process as early as April 7. We cannot assume we have until May 2. If granted, the courts could block us gathering more signatures. Let’s redouble everyone’s efforts to obtain signatures now and BEFORE April 7 to protect our democratic rights from court interference.

@cbcwatcher @genla6 Meanwhile, Carney is in a pointless and unnecessary trade war simply because he doesn’t understand there really is a fentanyl problem in Canada, despite the U.S. handing intel to the RCMP for a decade. This is peak insanity.

"What followed was an extraordinary exchange that raises significant questions about Canada’s counter-narcotics apparatus. Emails and documents obtained by The Bureau describe a cat-and-mouse conversation between Shah and a senior RCMP officer, followed by a surprising aftermath in which the RCMP emailed Shah a recipe for fentanyl production."

@mindingottawa @PSPC_SPAC @adamchamb Not at all surprising. If you don't believe in carbon tax, you don't believe in rebates. I haven't cashed a single cheque. As for OAS, this government is so far behind it doesn't even know the number of deaths in the last six months, never mind who they were.

@MrPassive_ I think these are terrific, touching, heartfelt and very real. For the cynics crying boomer tears, all I can say is, put in your fifty years of hard labour and then come back and point fingers. Or don't, and learn the lessons from these wonderful civics (the boomer's parents).

I don't give a damn if you're a Liberal or a Conservative. You don't go to the U.S. - as Jivani did - and shit on your country. You particularly don't do so when your country is under attack by the U.S. I can't see Poilievre being happy about any of this. He's clever enough to know that Jivani will feature prominently in Liberal attack ads - ads that may be coming sooner than later. #cdnpoli
