This account primarily re-tweets posts from Toronto City Council candidates and news about municipal issues in the city. Tweets from current city councillors that are not explicitly campaign-related are not retweeted. Incumbents already have too many advantages.

Thanks Mayor Chow and Councillor Bravo for hanging out and visiting the neighbourhoods and businesses along St Clair. It is time to embrace our local community #StClairStrong

@ElectionDigest Of course not. Why do you want to invite the random strangers into our house and let them do whatever they want?

The thing is, Toronto Police are absolutely going to use this to increase the extortion money that street festivals are legally forced to pay them as part of the permitting process. That WILL stop Toronto street festivals. Taste of Little Jamaica already got cancelled before.

'Disgusting' Salsa on St. Clair shooting won't stop Toronto street festivals, vows Mayor Olivia Chow trib.al/WEOjmCf

How are you feeling, Toronto?  Brad Bradford has never lost a family member to violence. Never grieved with our city. But now he’s using a tragedy to launch his campaign for Mayor. Who’s he blaming? Politicians like himself?  This isn’t leadership. It’s exploitation. Toronto deserves better. #TOpoli #MayorTO

Watch Toronto Councillor @Thompson_37 address Alma Marinelarena, a public health nurse saying her position is underpaid Does Thompson have this much contempt for cops, firefighters, and other male-dominated workers who are higher-paid? Thompson's 2025 salary was $176,000

Specific entry points and security checks for pedestrian street festivals in Toronto sounds awful. We truly love to differentiate ourselves from worldwide common practice on every level. Knowing our cops and council though. I think if they want it -- they get it.
Phil Perkins@PhilPerkinsCP24

@pothen I believe I had some suggestions in previous posts but I appreciate you may not have seen them. It appears the police chief has just thrown out the idea of specific entry points and security checks. How do you feel about that? What changes would you suggest?

Brad Bradford is a duplicitous, self-interested piece of shit. He’s exploiting the mass shooting at ‘Salsa on St. Clair’ for his own political gain. He’s turned it into a campaign video. This scumbag cannot be Mayor.

@GSIDaily @RyanEndoh Who is normalizing criminal behaviour? In what way? How? What tf are you guys talking about when you say this?

@RyanEndoh Three shootings in three days. I never said it was a funding issue. Normalizing criminal behaviour, drug trafficking, and murder is not conducive to building a functioning society, my guy.

It is problematic to argue that the police aren't being funded enough, that crime has run amok in the City, and that the Mayor has a soft-on-crime approach when those assertions are demonstrably false. But yeah, thanks "Gold & Silver Investing Daily"...
Gold & Silver Investing Daily@GSIDaily

@RyanEndoh @BradMBradford Three shootings in three days is not how Toronto used to be. The only way to fix it, is to admit there is a problem. And to prosecute those involved in organized crime.

@leviathanEnemy Correct, there is high turnover because they are burnt out because there are not enough of them because they aren't funded by the conservative and neoliberal governments we have in power. We have never actually tried empathy.

@ElectionDigest Trust me there are not an enough and there is high turnover. It’s not sustainable. They always cause major issues in healthcare and increase cost of everything. Stop keeping the worst of society alive with your suicidal empathy.

@stevedoesn Yes, homelessness and addiction advocates have been asking for more than a sandwich and narcan FOR YEARS. People who get support, stability, and a reason to get clean are the most likely to get clean. Threats and imprisonment do not give them those things.

@ElectionDigest You are rational, and think rationally. The addict who is at this stage is irrational, and will not make sound decisions. The decision must be made by the leaders of the community, and it's time to decide to do more than to give him a sandwich and some Narcan.
