@News4Tri @Timheming Personally, I loved seeing someone so hyped on his job as domestique and calling the shot at KM 0 that his countryman was going to win.
English

@MarkSaroni @Timheming it would have been fine if he'd faded backwards on the run and dropped out. It was the show at the start of the run that raised these questions. It's not so much hate, it's just was that the best way to respect the Olympic ideals, whatever they are in these times.

Was Sam Dickinson right to DNF in the Olympics?
A smart move? The thin end of the wedge? Or both?

3hr run down to the Eagle River & Back Up to @beavercreekmtn was both Beautiful & Brutal! 😂! No time to read the Fun History Plaques, so I took pics of them to read on the plane ride back 😄. Goals don’t pause for vacation, right coach @marksaroni ?

@andrewwoodroffe Agree with others. If you’re doing your job & going above & beyond with communication, I’ve found athletes to be nothing but supportive of my time off. There is always that 1 though that doesn’t read emails or their note in TP & texts you a question the first day of vacation!

Ok, NOW it’s For REAL! I signed up for the WRONG 100 miler earlier this year! 😂 I am now signed up for the CORRECT 100 miler in December. After the 15 miles I ran yesterday I was thinking…. “How am I gonna add 85 more to this?” 😂 ! I have time to figure it out. @TrailRacingTX

English

@andrewwoodroffe I was intimidated as well but found it wasn’t as bad as anticipated. Part of that can be chalked up to having a good day. Part of it is getting to mile 16 & thinking “I’m kind of tired. But I’m also kind of tired after 112 miles on the bike. I can run 10 miles kind of tired.”

Been ticking off the marathon prep sessions and learning a lot. I actually find a marathon alone “scares” me more than an Ironman.
The intensity feels higher, marginal room for error and the fact it’s just you 42kms and the clock. In a way that’s the beautiful part of running.

I’ve always loved running. The simplicity, challenge and beauty of the hurt. It’s my strength in racing and where I feel most comfortable. I figured it was about time to do a stand alone marathon without 180kms on the bike first! So in one month I’ll race @zurichmarathon!

A moment of appreciation for the longevity of @SaraHall3 👏
At 40 years old, she will be competing in her EIGHTH U.S. Olympic Trials. She enters the race with a 2:20:32 personal best from December 2020. Her 2:22:10 from the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Ore. makes her the 6th-fastest U.S. marathoner of the last two years.
She also previously held the American record in the half marathon.
What will Saturday, Feb. 3 hold in store? We’ll find out soon.
