@ccrcupdate now has new leadership by Dame Vera Baird and I have heard that there appears to be improved referrals for possible unsafe convictions under joint enterprise which were previously ducked by them under the old leadership. I am hopeful about this

This could not go to a more deserving person. Lewis was a massive help for my son Alex Henry who lives with Autism and was wrongfully convicted as a 20 year old, still serving life. Lewis’ support meant everything to us during a very difficult time. I am so happy to hear this.

We are delighted to congratulate Autism Action Trustee Dr Lewis Owens on being awarded an MBE in the King’s Honours List. Dr Lewis Owens, a successful charity fundraiser, lecturer and author has been awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for Charitable Service. The award, announced in the King’s New Year’s Honours List, celebrates Lewis’s dedication to supporting voluntary services, particularly his role as Trustee with Autism Action since 2016 (previously known as the Autism Centre of Excellence).
