I am shocked that some of my former Republican colleagues on the Oversight Committee are supporting pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell. The Epstein survivors are adamantly against her receiving a pardon as she was one of their main abusers next to Jeffrey Epstein and they say she is a serial liar. If Trump gives her a pardon, it sets up a very potential quid pro quo. She will owe Trump and she will lie to protect people he ask her to. Instead the DOJ and local prosecutors with jurisdiction should be prosecuting the rich powerful elites who raped and trafficked these brave survivors when they were just teenagers and young vulnerable women. Why is this so complicated???

Farmers are bankrupt, gas/grocery prices are through the roof, people are struggling financially, healthcare premiums are skyrocketing, people are losing their jobs, Veterans are experiencing record home foreclosures, small businesses are being crushed by tariffs and the Epstein Files are still not fully released. During the first Trump impeachment, I drove from Texas to DC and spent two weeks going door to door to every Republican member of the House and Senate. It was exhausting, but as a constituent who believed strongly in President Trump, I felt it was important so I did it. I was there in the Senate chamber the night Trump was acquitted. It was a moment I was really proud of, and I felt like my work had mattered. As of right now, if we lose the House and the Senate which looks more likely every day I will go back to DC. I will walk those halls again, knock on every Republican door, and this time I will ask that he be removed from office. That’s how far he has fallen in my eyes.

Rare honesty in mainstream media about costs to the US in the war with Iran. None of this would have happened had we not chosen to go to war with Tehran over the fraudulent claim of "imminent threat" of a nuclear weapon. As a result of this disastrous choice, we have: * Lost 13 Americans dead * 400+ Americans wounded * Scores of combat aircraft damaged or destroyed * Billions in irreplicable radars destroyed * Burned through huge portions of key missiles we would need to fight against a peer adversary, leaving our country more strategically vulnerable than at any time since before World War II and * Loss of control of the Strait of Hormuz, imposing a massive economic cost on our country - and all of our allies from Asia, to Africa, to Europe. Know this: however much harm Iran will suffer (and they will suffer), we will exit this war in a *profoundly* worse shape than before we entered it. This war of choice is shaping up to be far, far worse for America than even Bush's 2003 fiasco in Iraq.

By 2031, California is projected to lose more than one million K-12 students compared to its peak a decade ago — a drop from 6.3M to 5M. There’s a one-word explanation for this steep fall: Housing Fewer students means school closures, fewer teachers, an older population, a depleted workforce & lower tax revenues. Yet people continue to fight tooth & nail against pretty much every solution for building the huge number of homes we need for our state to thrive. There’s always an excuse — neighborhood character, parking, historic preservation, traffic, views. But, bottom line, we either want a thriving state — one with a growing economy, strong public services & a diverse population, including young people — or we don’t. We made a promise to our Afghan Allies that they could resettle in the U.S. to make better lives for themselves and their families after the war. Trump has broken that promise. But worse, he’s threatening to send our Afghan Allies either back to the Taliban or to the DRC. That’s not a choice, it’s a death sentence. This Administration has literally deported convicted criminals to countries that they are not from. But they can’t find a safe third country for the Afghans who helped protect U.S. servicemembers?? Shame on them.
