I'm officially back on the ballot for Michigan's 27th State House District. I lost in 2024. I'II say it plainly. But a setback isn't a stop sign- it's a test of character. I chose to keep showing up, because I have unfinished work to do in Lansing. Childcare. Utility bills. Car insurance. The costs keep rising and Downriver families are feeling it every single day. You deserve a representative who will push back for working families- someone who is beholden to this community, not lobbyists and special interests. I have never accepted a dime of corporate money, and I'm not starting now. #Downriver #Michigan #WorkingFamilies

Michigan lawmakers are weighing a comprehensive slate of gun safety bills, and if passed would create lifesaving change. From holding irresponsible gun industry CEOs accountable to banning bump stocks and high capacity magazines, these bills are crucial to reducing gun crime in Michigan.

🚨HUGE 2A UPDATE🚨 In our case, New York agreed to a PERMANENT injunction blocking its social media requirement for concealed carry permits. Once entered, the state can’t demand your social media—and it will be removed from the application.

The Illinois Supreme Court continues to hear cases challenging the state’s laws around possessing firearms.

Gavin Newsom passed a law to attack the First Amendment because he was mad about a .22lr rifle that was meant for junior shooters. That little stunt has cost California taxpayers over a million dollars, not including whatever CADOJ spent on their own lawyers. $350k to SAF, $550k to the CRPA coalition of plaintiffs in the same lawsuit, and another $480k in the parallel Safari Club International case on the same issues. Will Newsom apologize to taxpayers for this waste? We appreciate your contribution, idiot.

The committee analysis for a California bill to increase the duration of carry permits details the stark contrast between costs and wait times in CA compared to other states, says that CCW holders "rarely are found involved in violent crime," and notes that the bill is supported by numerous police organizations while zero groups submitted opposition testimony: leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billAnal…

Our amicus brief in Gardner referenced this couple, as they tried to get as many carry permits as they needed to carry in as much of the country as they could. Yesterday they published an updated video. To carry in 46 states and DC (the final four won't let them apply), they needed to spend almost $13,000. Is this something supported by our historical tradition that the founding generation would have tolerated? Of course not. SCOTUS needs to grant cert in Gardner and end this exorbitant poll tax on the right to carry. Requiring one permit is already suspect enough given the lack of historical support for it. But even accepting that the Supreme Court blessed such a requirement in Bruen's footnote 9, other states should have to honor that, and not require everyone get their state's permit too.

🚨BREAKING🚨 We just sued the state of Illinois. Their law blocks most Americans from even applying for a concealed carry license unless they live in one of six “approved” states. The Second Amendment doesn’t stop at the Illinois border.

Holding up that “law abiding gun owner” title well by handing a magazine over to a minor
