I have been given many labels by others since I was born, many not repeatable, but today I am grateful to @UniNorthants for my new label & the real privilege of becoming one of the few women from an Asian/British background to be called Professor & probably the first at UON

Parents, you deserve a break – Michelle’s got storytime handled every Monday. She’s one of the best, I promise. (And I confess it makes me a little nostalgic.)
Michelle Obama@MichelleObama

I can't wait to share the magic of storytelling with kids everywhere by reading a beloved children's book every Monday with @PBSKIDS and @Penguinrandom. I hope you’ll tune in today at 12PM ET as I read "The Gruffalo" on @PBSKIDS's YouTube channel and Facebook page!

Here are some of the more interesting items in the raffle: the Claudian is an Elzevir (1660), the Sophocles is one of Blaydes' curiosa, and the scribblings are Grote's. If you follow us and have RTed the message at the top of this thread, you are in the draw (on 30 Oct.) G'luck!

Help me, hivemind! I have three related questions about your experiences of email: 1) What piece of email behaviour most annoys you? (EG Sending pdfs and saying "please see attached document" instead of just putting it in the email.)

Morning #TeamEarlyChildhood. I'm seeking inspiration since my boy's nursery has just closed due to a positive case. We'll be at home for 2 weeks, trying to dig up lots of fun in the garden (thank goodness!) and living room. Ideas?

@FraserSouthey @CER_Grant @CER_EU I think they know the Bill will be torn apart by the Lords, with possibly Supreme Court challenge, both play into their “sabotage of brexit “ narrative, setting the scene for dismantling of both and deal in Spring.

Assuming that HMG sticks with its apparent plan of scrapping parts of Withdrawal Agreement and doing without an EU-UK trade accord, I foresee 10 consequences - a short thread. @CER_EU /1

@SerpsSwimClub When can we swim again? The new rules say no swimming in public pools. I the case can be made that if we do not use the changing rooms Serps swimming is the ideal SD sport

Exit poll: The pattern of voting suggests that the Conservative party has increased its vote share in constituencies that voted in large numbers to leave the 2016 EU referendum. This is especially true in working class constituencies being defended by Labour.
