@MichelleLisaL@AvantiWestCoast Awwww, poor you. If you know it happens ‘every single time’ then why don’t you just select your seat manually at the first attempt? Such a waste of 5 seconds of your day….
@AvantiWestCoast Hey, has anyone else raised the issue of reserving seats one your website with you? It asks what your preferences are then it chooses seats that are the complete opposite. Every. Single. Time! Then I have to waste time manually choosing the correct seats!
@AvantiWestCoast Wow, this really isn’t the right way to respond to a customer Miles. I think you need your customer service skills reviewed. I’m simply asking a question and your tone leaves a lot to be desired. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely be making a complaint now!
Just because it doesn't make sense to you, Michelle doesn't mean I'm incorrect in my response.
As I said above, our new website, or to be specific, our new booking flow, is being rolled out to customers at the moment. So for a time, some will be on the older version of the and some will be on the newer one. If you're unhappy with the speed at which this is taking place, you are welcome to raise a complaint with our Resolutions Team directly railhelp.co.uk/avantiwestcoas… - Miles
@AvantiWestCoast Your response doesn’t make any sense or answer my question. A website is a website. Its functionality doesn’t change depending on where you are! When is this issue going to be fixed please?
@MichelleLisaL It's just the way our IT folks have deployed the site, Michelle. Needless to say, you will see the new site rather than the old soon. - Miles
@MichelleLisaL Hi Michelle, our web team have responded and have confirmed that this issue has been resolved with our new website update. I'm afraid this issue will persist until you are able to view the new website, we're very sorry for the inconvenience caused. - Bipasha
@MichelleLisaL Ok, thanks for that. I have just sent this across to our web team to see if they can take a look into this. As soon as they reply, I'll be back in touch - Mike
@AvantiWestCoast Literally doing one now so here you go - you can see what preferences I have selected in the first photo and then what seats have been selected in the second. Now I have to waste time going into each leg to change the seats myself.
@MichelleLisaL I see, if you can provide any sort of screenshots of this happening, that we can send off to get it fed back, that would be great - Mike
@AvantiWestCoast Selecting forward facing, power socket, table seat and I get backwards facing every time! It’s on every booking I make from SPT to EUS return
@MichelleLisaL Hi Michelle, I work for a TV programme and we are keen to hear about how customers feel about the change in policy. Would you be willing to have a chat your experience?
Account closed for “consistent breaches” of their Fair Use policy when I haven’t returned anything since October! #ASOS you are a joke. You’ve been losing customers since your new returns policy came in and now you’re actually getting rid of customers willingly 🤦🏻♀️
Drove over to my dentists today (about an hour) … I can honestly say in 45 yrs of driving I have never driven on such terrible roads. It’s become so dangerous as so much attention has to be spent trying to avoid the potholes rather than concentrating just on the traffic! 🤯
Remember when Derek Redmond’s dad put fatherhood on display before the entire world when his son tore his hamstring during the Olympics?
In the 1992 Olympics, Derek Redmond started his heat like any other runner… But then his hamstring tore. He fell, limped, and pain took over.
As doctors and officials rushed in to stop him, something else happened: His father ran onto the track, embraced him, and said, “Let’s finish.”
That embrace changed everything.
That moment wasn’t about a medal.
It was about perseverance, dignity, and the unbreakable bond between a father and son.
When Derek stood back up… he didn’t just run, he walked his way across the finish line, helped by his dad.
Tears.
Strength.
Defiance.
Hope.
This is proof that sometimes the greatest achievements aren’t won by speed, but by heart.
Because life isn’t just about how fast you run.
It’s about who helps you when you can’t run anymore.
If I went on the show, I wouldn’t pick my mum/dad for phone calls home, they’d be biased. I’d need someone who’d tell me straight if I was being a shit #LoveIsland#AllStars
