If the Flyers game plan is to play the “grizzled” vets….yeah, that’s a problem. Both in-game and philosophy. Danny B needs to step up and tell them to fuck off. Maximize the roster or you risk losing everything. You can’t rely on vets this time of year. Playing with fire.

When should he have gotten more ice time? Tocchet puts him out while NYI has the golaie pulled, he takes a bad penalty or gets burnt for the 'rally' goal and who are you blaming? Its easy to hindsight more minutes, but in the moment where are you putting him in? And hell he did take a bad penalty, right? he had a great game and the story is TOI? Why?!

@MichkovMins As opposed to last night when the same 3RW had 3 point night, the team won and they complained about his TOI? No one, with exception of maybe Ray, was saying to run him out of town - but it's ok that the positive of winning the biggest game of the season was drowned for TOI.

@Anth_Chatburn I’m fine with criticism when he doesn’t perform, but there needs to be acknowledgement that he’s not being put in the same role (top 2 lines, PP1) as last season. People are expecting top 6 forward performance for a guy getting 3rd line opportunity.

@MichkovMins I agree with you, but it's interesting how being a building block of the future seems to come with the expectation from some folks on this site that said block receive no criticism when they underperform. I tweeted "heavy is the head that wears crown." and was told I was hater.

@Anth_Chatburn Making the playoffs would be a huge accomplishment if they manage to do it. But like it or not, the front office has sold the fan base on Michkov being one of the building blocks of the future over the past 2+ years.

That’s exactly what I was noticing. Like we’re winning who cares about that stuff. They were warranted in criticizing him last game. Doesn’t all the sudden with a good game tonight make them wrong. He just bounced back. Still needs a good offseason. Now onto Boston. Let’s go Flyers!
