@bourqueis @JonFraserTF The message was in English with French subtitles...... This is such a political storm whipped up by the Liberals just before elections. It should be called out for what it is - 100% BS

@MikeHall2018 @JonFraserTF The official languages act doesn't require either of them to be fluent and none of the complaints were due to fluency. It requires official messages to be in both official languages. Rousseau could have released a written statement in both official languages and no complaints.

80% of our goods are still tarriff free. Oil and aluminum (not a part of that) the USA can't get elsewhere. Most of our problems are caused by 10yrs of resource neglect by our own lib govt. Wake up and give your head a shake! CHINA will not help our auto industry. Dropping daft eV mandates will.

@MikeHall2018 @cbcwatcher When you have industries facing immense hardship because our primary customer turned their back on us, I’d rather allow in a few EVs in exchange for a lifelines for several major industries. A self-righteous finger wag doesn’t put food on Canadians’ plates.

This whole clip is remarkable to see on CBC "Non-political" Carney backer Rob Russo "The danger for the Liberals is that they have a reputation of being soft on China." "The RCMP has said that they operate police stations here. They've said that they've closed up some of them, but there are investigations that are ongoing." Harrison "It's coddling for a government MP to deny forced labour in China is to deny that the sky is blue." "And I think that it is troubling that the Prime Minister can't bring himself to say very clearly, so that is on the record ahead of this trip for the Finance Minister that forced labour exists in China and that this is a major consideration as we undertake trade." "...Right now we are leaving ourselves very exposed and in my view cozying up far too much to a regime that has a lot of human rights abuses" "I also think that as we undertake to bring more Chinese EVs into the Canadian market, it also has to be acknowledged the reason why that is such a cheap alternative is because of course there is forced labour in the supply chain that surrounds EVs." @KatlynHarrison

The project is estimated at up to $90 billion. Rupa, that’s more than the current deficit. $700 million has already been spent. And NOT A SINGLE METRE of track laid. Construction won’t start until 2030. Won’t be finished until after 2040. IF WE’RE LUCKY. Two thirds of surveyed Canadians said they wouldn’t use it more than once a year. The Canadian Pacific Railway LINKED THE ENTIRE COUNTRY, coast to coast IN FOUR YEARS. This project can’t break ground in eight. 😂 Pierre being against a $90 billion boondoggle isn’t “thinking small” WE JUST REFUSING TO GET SCAMMED. AGAIN.

Q: Avi Lewis says that he wants the government to open up a chain of grocery stores. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith calls that communist. What do you think? Pierre Poilievre: Well, she's right.

He condemns Israel for an "illegal invasion,” condemning the Jewish State for defending itself from Hezbollah - a Canadian-listed terror entity raining rockets on Israeli civilians. Yesterday, four Israeli soldiers were killed in Lebanon by that same terror group. Not a single word of recognition for the soldiers killed by terrorists. Not a single word for the families still living under cluster bombs and ballistic missiles. Not a word for a people and their state living under hellfire and hate. It is a reoccurring pattern with this Liberal government. The Prime Minister gets it exactly wrong: Extending one hand of friendship to our enemies, while slapping our friends in the face with the other one.

@JeffreyLuscombe Don't be so dumb! We need projects that will facilitate selling our resources for wealth, NOT projects making work for work sake. This is not the 1930's

The UK invested in a new high speed train/line HS2 a few years ago. Still going it's projected cost now $200B.... it's gone so poorly that they've cancelled most of it and it's still costing a fortune. In Canada we need projects to export our resources NOT boondoggle infrastructure projects going to Quebec. In short, it's a really dumbass project!

@BBCWorld Air Canada is not owned by the Government but by private shareholders. As a Canadian this whole episode has been a witchhunt driven by PM Carneys Liberals because of upcoming by-elections in Quebec. It is political nonsense and is disgraceful!

@sunlorrie Maybe the Lebanese Gov't should do something about Hezbollah (Iranian Proxy) continually firing rockets into Israel - hundreds of rockets every day! Rather than focusing on folks trying to defend their peace, maybe focus more on those hell bent on trying to destroy it!

The fact this will happen is a huge black eye for the Federal Government, whose primary role is to keep the Provinces together. Carney may yet face a second separatist vote in Quebec. In Alberta it would not happen if the many thousands of Albertans felt they had a political voice!

We need to focus on projects that will bring revenue into Canada. IE those associated with selling our resources. This project does not do that! It's political!! The UK has a similar project that has gone way over budget $150B and they've already been forced to cancel 75% of it.

Pierre Poilievre announces that the Conservatives are against the high speed train project between Toronto and Quebec City, and if in power will cancel it; "I am confirming that a future Conservative government will cancel this $90 billion boondoggle altogether." OK so how are Conservatives planning to build world class infrastructure?
