he genuinely didn’t expect to blow up like this. the fact that in the same interview he says that two weeks before anything still didn’t happen and him being so emotional while saying he’s honored that people is kind to him is just so fresh and beautiful to watch

just saw Sinners …I’m trying to be the more objective as possible. Timothée Chalamet’s performance in Marty Supreme deserved that Oscar and it was clearly superior to MBJ one. OBJECTIVELY.

Again, I love MBJ and think he’s a very talented actor but a best acting performance comes down to technicality and intention. The outstanding ensemble cast of Sinners elevated MBJ. Timothée elevated everyone around him in Marty Supreme. He didn’t miss a beat during the 150 mins.

@mrcalexanderw I stated first that I tried to be objective and, as a person who likes cinema, I can say the TC performance was better than than MBJ one. I like MBJ, I think he’s a great actor. I’m just comparing the performances.
