VRChat world building tip! If you bake reflection probes and want to keep them small, bake them at a higher resolution and then manually set the size lower instead of just baking them small. Less jagged edges that way.

@RolltheredDev I do that in one of my worlds also, it's a really good tip 👍 In my case, it even adds more details.

@lightbulb_4 Using bigger, more descriptive icons is a good idea actually, this way I can make the text shorter, I'll do that 👍

@MyroDev 'one last thing' page is well done. could trim down some parts with stuff like this: (ignore poor photoshop skills). people don't like to read, but do like big simple graphics 😄albeit i wouldn't know how to convey all of that without at least some text

In my NUCLEUS world, I noticed that sometimes people missed the setting panel, or didn't know what to do and where to go. So for my next NUCLEUS II world, I've been thinking of adding an "Initial setup" room showing some basic settings + recommendations🤔

@Reval_Dev Personally, as someone who goes to a lot of events requiring performant avatars, I also look at polygon count, so 70k or less. My current avatar base has 50k polygons, so I was able to add accessories without going over the limit.

I made this little VRChat world for a friend in about 1~2 hours. I think making liminal spaces is a really nice way to learn about lighting, because the scene is simple and you can fully focus on lighting. If you want to learn about lighting, try making a liminal scene first.

Lastly, if you want to add a few logos on your avatar, you can use Poiyomi's decal feature, allowing you to place stickers on your avatar, without needing to use a main high-res texture.

Btw, the Amplify Shader Editor also features a "Stochastic Sampling" node, but it's actually called "Procedural Sample". If you're  using that node with a normal map, you also need to call "Unpack Scale Normal" since the sampler doesn't do it automatically for normal maps.

Sometimes I see avatars using 4k/8k textures to add ultra-high details (textile, skin, leather), but it's rarely needed. So, here's a short thread about Secondary Maps/Details mask, which most shaders support (even Unity Standard). Example: 8192px NM | 256px tiled NM #VRChat

@MyroDev Thats the X1-B from studioform. I am currently using it with the off ear audiostrap from the Valve Index which required me to cut a slit in it for the top strap.

@MyroDev Tiny consideration for the future~ standard contact senders so avatars can react? Would love if more worlds started using the built in Damage and Projectile tags.
