@messedupfoods I'll add that my cinema company tried to lobby the UK government to re-open at the peak of Covid, ultimately failed to, but it still stands that they were willing to put their staffs health on the line for profit (big surprise).

@messedupfoods Used to work at a cinema, the prices are higher because the theatre doesn't make money on the ticket sales, it's all made through food.
That being said, the popcorn is marked up by (at minimum) 600%. In 10 years, my wages only went up when the law said they had to. Fuck cinemas.

Benefit cheat Bethany Elwood, 31, pocketed £78,057 in Universal Credit by lying she was single for over four years. The mum-of-two from Parson Cross, Sheffield, kept claiming as a lone parent even after her full-time employed boyfriend moved in with her in the mid-2020s. She failed to update the DWP and continued raking in the cash until a member of the public tipped off the fraud hotline in 2024. When interviewed she initially denied it but then made a full admission. At Sheffield Magistrates’ Court she was given a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered to repay the full £78k at just £20 a month. The judge called it a “long term, wilful fraud for a great deal of money” that defrauds every taxpayer. £20 a month......

@halo2mappack You can just save edit nanites and quicksilver into the game in minutes, the rest of the game is what you make of it. I personally play in creative and build stuff. Some times a game just hands you the tools and it is your goal to make your own goal.
