I do not regret standing with Israel and Jews. I do now realize I underestimated how politically homeless it would leave me. Because the Islamists and the right wing that hate Jews attack me daily for being trans since it’s how they can hurt me. The trans community, which has been hijacked by progressives and anti-Americanism, attacks me relentlessly. I’m ironically in a position where “my people” are the Jews. And not because of religion or birthright, but because they are the only ones that seem to understand that the West is under attack.

Tonight @JulianaStratton showed Illinoisans what I know well—she’s the fighter our state deserves. I need her with me in Washington to push back against Donald Trump and his dangerous agenda.

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump. Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

An arsonist set fire to Beth Israel Congregation, the largest synagogue in Mississippi. A house of worship whose history stretches back to 1860 was reduced to ruins in a single moment by the flames of Jew-hatred. The arson against Beth Israel is a repeat of history. In 1967, the Ku Klux Klan bombed the same synagogue in a campaign of terror directed at Rabbi Perry Nussbaum, whose home was also bombed for his righteous alliance with the Civil Rights Movement. Domestic terrorism against Jews never happens in a vacuum. Instead of extinguishing the fires of antisemitism, American politics is often guilty of fanning the flames.

As you process the devastating news that another tragic shooting may have taken the lives of innocent students at Brown University, remember the shooter didn't act alone. He was assisted by 220 House members, 53 Senators, 6 Supreme Court justices, 1 President, and the NRA.

School should not sound like gunfire. Today, students at Brown University were forced into a reality no one should ever have to prepare for. Gun violence has become a constant threat in American education, from elementary schools to college campuses, because our so-called leaders refuse to act. This is not inevitable. It is the result of policy choices that continue to put lives at risk.

So many emotions today but overwhelmed with joy and relief that all the living hostages are now home. We also pray for the deceased to be returned soon, including two Americans. We didn’t know them or their families before Oct 7, but they have all become our family too. 💛💛💛
