News is out! Ogun State is eating good.
Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON@DapoAbiodunCON

We are excited by the growing momentum around the Gateway International Airport, as @flyairpeace, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Allen Onyema, has announced plans to commence international flight operations from Ogun State to London this summer. This development, alongside the commencement of cargo operations, the expected arrival of more international airline partners, and the launch of our state-owned Gateway Airlines, further reinforces our vision of positioning Ogun State as a major aviation, logistics, and business hub in Nigeria and West Africa. With the world-class infrastructure already in place and more complementary projects underway, including a conference centre and five-star hotel, we remain confident that the Gateway International Airport will continue to open up greater opportunities for investment, trade, tourism, and economic growth in our dear state. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #DapoAbiodun #ISEYA #OgunState #GatewayInternationalAirport #AirPeace

WELCOME TO OGUN STATE, MR. PRESIDENT Mr. President, welcome to Ogun State. Aare Ago of Egbaland, welcome home to the land of Efunroye Tinubu that formidable matriarch whose legacy still resonates across generations. It is perhaps worth recalling that Efunroye was the daughter of Keesi, with maternal roots in my own homestead. History binds us in ways that should guide both memory and responsibility. Let me commend you for the bold and necessary work you have embarked upon. The task of redirecting a nation’s developmental trajectory is neither cosmetic nor immediately gratifying. It is often misunderstood by those who lack the depth to appreciate processes still unfolding. It therefore falls on those with maturity and clarity of thought to steady the ship to encourage patience, insist on discipline, and reinforce the necessity of sustained execution. We are beginning to glimpse the early signs the dew of promise even as we await the inevitable rain of abundance. My earnest counsel is simple: do not relent. Press forward with firmness of purpose. Show empathy where it strengthens the social fabric, but be resolute even unforgiving when reactionary forces seek to exploit ignorance and destabilize the nation. That must never be allowed, regardless of the noise or pressure. The future demands courage, not concession. Nigeria must be great. At this moment in history, you bear that responsibility. Play your part with conviction. When the baton is eventually passed, some of us stand ready by the grace of the Absolute Sovereign to carry it even further. On a more immediate matter, Mr. President @officialABAT GCFR, permit a word on the Ogun governorship. As we say in Yoruba: “E ma ru erin si ori ki e ma fi ese wa iho ire o.” Do not carry an elephant on your head while searching for an ant hole with your foot. The people of Ogun State must retain the dignity and responsibility of determining who succeeds Governor Dapo Abiodun who, in my considered view, has performed commendably. The Gateway International Airport you have come to commission today stands as a strategic economic asset a growth pole whose impact will echo for generations. It is a legacy decision. I must also express appreciation for your approval of the Eba Oil Exploration initiative. However, we must now go further. Ogun State has viable oil deposits, particularly in Tongeji Island. I urge you to grant the necessary approvals to bring this exploration fully on stream. Nigeria must maximize all available resources as we prepare for the future. Once again, Mr. President, welcome home. I wish you a productive, pleasant, and memorable stay in Ogun State. Otunba Segun Showunmi Odofin Keesi The Alternative

In Ogun State, I also commissioned a new Nigeria Customs Service hub which is a complete ecosystem with barracks, a training college, a warehouse, and a hospital. This is how institutions are strengthened. This is how we support the men and women who keep our economy secure and our borders working. Well done, @CustomsNG

I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart. What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last. The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun @DapoAbiodunCON for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives. From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State. Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They have provided more resources for sub-nationals and are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment. We will stay the course. “We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.” As they say in Ogun, “Ìṣẹ́ yá…” I say, “Ìṣẹ̀ ń lọ.” The work continues. - Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .@ngrpresident .@nigeriagov
