@Ohnos0sa Yet Xbox has this as well. What would they gain by another PS Plus subscriber when they already are getting another Microsoft account made automatically? Seems more like a PS issue. But any online subscription is bad. Wether if its PS, Xbox, or Nintendo?

This is not a take I’m against. If you want to say that Xbox is just fluffing up their unique player count and monthly active users then I don’t disagree but that still is not the reason that a second account needs ps plus. The second account needs ps plus because Sony is the only platform that hides third party linking and cloud save behind a paid subscription wall. There is zero doubt about that.

Paul enough with the Sony glaze. This isn’t an XBOX issue. If the roles were reversed and Sony required the two accounts to be linked it would be completely free on XBOX. The reason you have to pay additional sub is because of Sonys third party linking policy. They hid third party linking as a premium online feature behind a paid subscription wall. XBOX and PC view this feature as basic free internet access. This is on Sonys policy.

It is likely tied to Xbox refusing tovuse guest accounts, requiring 2 unique PSN accounts this treating couch co-op as a PSN transaction.
