@MarketPalmer_ My uncle was a family practice doc for ~40 years. He said he basically never got a pay raise from the time he started because Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance companies kept cutting reimbursement rates.

Recently learned that 25% of 60-year old doctors have a net worth below $1 million. How…?

None of those are conservative ideas. These are: 1) end public schools, and make it easy for good teachers to start their own 2) remove regulations so builders can build where and where customers want to buy 3) remove certificate of need laws and all the other insane regulations that keep competition low in healthcare.

Would you rather spend $200 billion to bomb Iran or…? A: give every teacher in America a $62,500 bonus B: provide downpayment assistance for 20 million young families C: build 1,300 rural hospitals

Polling is a great way to manipulate people. Three versions of a question: 1. Want free health care for everyone? Heck yeah! 2. Want healthcare that's free at the point of sale, but really means that people on Medicaid won't pay, but if you're a middle income family, you're paying 10x as much for your own insurance to cover their costs? (Alternatively, it's free at POS, but your taxes and wait times are significantly increased) [Answer depends on whether they live off the state or not] 3. Want to allow all illegals to also access the free healthcare, resulting in higher costs, longer wait times? "What? No!" Guess which question gets asked in surveys.

Polling is good because it informs us of where the public stands on the issues. One of the things that stands out here is that a large majority believes parents have the absolute right to know everything happening in schools... but they don't think families should be able to make healthcare decisions for their kids? We can't back down because of a poll that says something we don't like, we've got to get to work convincing. And that's where Democrats have failed for so long.
Adam Carlson@admcrlsn

Searchlight did an extraordinary job with this polling. This is not an easy issue to test, and this is an excellent resource for candidates and the public. I was deeply saddened by a lot of the results. But harsh truths are still truths. It’s critical to know where the American public is at on these things so we can figure out the best path forward on codifying protections on anti-discrimination/safety, persuading the public, and determining the most effective strategic path forward in advancing the cause of trans rights.

@TheJusticeDept @PressSec @AGPamBondi You guys know that if you don't make it impossible for the left to take control again, you're all going to prison, right? You have to arrest and charge their NGO networks for their crimes.

Justice Department Sues Harvard University for Antisemitism “Since October 7th, 2023, too many of our educational institutions have allowed anti-Semitism to flourish on campus – Harvard included,” said @AGPamBondi. “Today’s litigation underscores the Trump Administration’s commitment to demanding better from our nation’s schools and putting an end to discriminatory behavior that harms students.” 🔗: justice.gov/opa/pr/justice…

@SenJohnCurtis And what specifically did you do about it? Did you insist the DOGE cuts would be locked in? Or did you vote for the giant omnibus spending bills?

The national debt has crossed $39 trillion and continues to rise by the second. Washington’s spending problem is putting our economic stability in jeopardy, affecting our children and grandchildren the most. The Fiscal Commission Act will bring Republicans and Democrats together to confront our debt before it’s too late.

The reality is there's mass amounts of cheating in our elections. Just because there's an engineered lack of data, does not mean there isn't data to the contrary. The new CBS/YouGov poll shows that 80% of Americans support Voter ID including 80% of black Americans & 77% of Hispanic Americans. Yet why is it that Congress seems so intractable to wanting to pass a such a popular policy?

You know, for someone who has built enough rifles (many from PSA) to arm his great great grandchildren, and has spent a majority of his adult life supporting 2A causes, covid proved all the guns and “don’t tread on my cold dead hands blood tyrant liberty trees” is worthless. We bluffed, they called. We were designed to be a well armed and trained homogenous citizenry who could be called forth by our own representatives to defend ourselves, but we left a power vacuum to be filled by tyrants, subversives, foreigners, and traitors. Seek and wield power. No amount of isolated individuals owning guns will help you without power, organization, and direction.

Politicians in Virginia are racing to pass an "assault weapons" ban that could take effect July 1st, and we're doing something about it. At Palmetto State Armory, we're not just building firearms, we're maximizing freedom. 🇺🇸

We stand with our neighbors, elected officials, and community advocates in making one thing loud and clear: ICE out of SLC NOW. We should all be focused on supporting families, not building infrastructure for mass detention without any community input.

Here I will point out that my church (of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) DOES send missionaries to American towns. My mission was in the Los Angeles area and I served in Compton, Huntington Park, and the San Fernando Valley, among others. I admit it was back in 1975 so probably not as dangerous as now. My dad went on three medical missions (he was a doctor) and served in Tonga, the Caribbean, and New Zealand. Lucky guy.

Watching Utah fall more and more to groypers is so sad. Especially since I used to tell people, “sure it’s a red state and that sucks-but at least we aren’t Florida”. Like do we have to just be “evil Colorado with better mountains” I weep and mourn for my home state

No. The world runs on fossil fuels. Europe has the walkable cities you're clamoring for, but their grass prices are way higher. Every city is full of people. People eat food and buy products. They all need to be delivered. The US has wisely encouraged endless energy production, which is why we're paying way less than most countries. Paris, France is probably pushing ~$9/gallon, and it ain't because they have suburbs.

Because a decent chunk of Real Estate in this country relies on cheap gas. Its only accessible via car, and because of its low density its built far away from real job centers. This means that the value of these properties would tank if the price of gas/energy rises to the point where commuting from these places costs more than the saved value of moving out here to own these homes
Alan Fisher tweet media
ja3k@ja3k_

Idk why gas prices are so culturally salient in america. You could drive an hour a day and it probably comes to less than $3k/year. Is it because they put the price on billboards along the road?
