Gold used to be quite closely neg correlated with US real (TIPS) yields - until the US and EU sanction Russian reserves invested in US and Euro govt bonds:

POTUS-elect Trump is putting together a very aggressive team being recruited to initiate huge changes. Their plans likely cannot succeed with a higher dollar and higher yields. This is where a conflict with Powell could occur. $SA

Yields are rising, indicating the Fed may be losing control of the Treasury market. The 10 yr yield closed today at 4.47%, now up more than 100 bps in the past month. IOP, higher yields aren't due to growth expectations but rather inflation, deficit and liquidity concerns. $SA
