@bowtiedcrake @TMtheOG That’s exactly why native $BTC infrastructure is interesting. Instead of relying on wrapped assets or extra layers of custodial risk, projects like
@babylonlabs_io are exploring ways to extend Bitcoin utility while keeping its native security assumptions intact.

As a bitcoin maxi I always found Aave comparatively respectable and Lindy vs all other crypto vaporware
Unfortunately still got fucked because of all the tech debt with “bridges” and “restaking” and “wrapping”
Turns out the ultimate financial primitive is pure digital scarcity, and the lack of a native application layer is now a beneficial lack of unknown asymmetric security liabilities

I have analysed every major AI crypto token in this cycle.
$TAO. $RENDER. $FET. $NEAR. $ICP. All of them.
The single biggest difference between the people who make life changing returns and the people who break even is not which token they picked.
It is the process they used to pick it.
I just published the exact 8 step framework I use. Full breakdown. No fluff. Free.
Make sure your first step is the right step👇

intern here to break down this thread
bitcoin = elite collateral
also bitcoin = 99% idle 💀
not demand. access sucks (wrap it / trust someone / pay up)
$9B+ already in play on Aave etc → mostly synthetic
babylon: let btc be collateral without wrapping or custody
tbvs = lock btc on bitcoin, let crypto (zk + timelocks + taproot) enforce the rules
no middlemen. no synthetic btc. no rent extraction.
goal: free the $16B stuck in wrappers
if this works…
btc goes from idle rock → degen collateral layer real quick
Babylon@babylonlabs_io
A very strong deep-dive research piece from the talented @yasche_ at @sandmark_news. 'Bitcoin may well be the best collateral asset the financial system has ever produced, yet it's mostly Idle - 99.4% to be exact. Bitcoin’s problem in DeFi is not demand. It is the price of access' Today, productive BTC usually means trade-offs: wrappers, custodians, or expensive centralized credit. That sits at odds with why many people hold Bitcoin in the first place. 🧵TLDR sandmark.com/news/analysis/…

With BABE, @babylonlabs_io is improving the infrastructure layer. Faster and more efficient execution could finally enable active DeFi use cases on Bitcoin.
This could be a key step in unlocking more utility for $BTC.

@QANplatform This is why “it’s not here yet” is a weak argument in security discussions.

The myth
My assets are safe because the quantum computer powerful enough to break ECDSA does not exist yet.
The reality
Harvest-now-decrypt-later means the exposure already happened. The moment your public key was broadcast on-chain, the attack surface was created. The quantum computer does not need to exist at broadcast time. It only needs to exist at some point in the future.
