@james_xond I would give them what I can, but not consider it a loan or expect to see it again.

@NativeTexan_17 @USAA Try GEICO. It might still be heinous, but probably not enough to cover buying an entire decent used vehicle...
English

Yall… USAA has lost their fucking minds.
Look at this insurance quote I got for two vehicles for my sons and I.
Of course having two teenage drivers bumps it up but yall….
@USAA y’all have lost your fucking minds.
I have had zero wrecks.
I had one ticket when I was 32 years which wasn’t anything crazy.
My one son still has his permit and my older son has one speeding ticket that he went to whatever drivers course was but it was five miles over.
Maybe it’s BECAUSE YALL SUCK AND HATE MILITARY …
….anyway.

@Kristin_Mae The wind turbines have lights? I've never seen them at night.
Great picture. Love the little lone tree.

@spyderhood Over-developed work ethic that results in excellence (and sometimes early burn-out, unfortunately).

USA. My friend’s house. The door had not fully opened, and love was already charging at me.
A dog.
Running. Jumping. Tail moving at dangerous speed.
I stopped my friend. “Is this an attack?”
He laughed. “He likes you, man.”
LIKES ME. In my land, affection often arrives carefully. A nod. A small smile. Maybe tea. Feelings remove their shoes before entering the room.
Here, affection had paws, speed, and no braking system.
This is not a greeting. This is friendship with impact damage.
The dog reached me with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — I was hit by joy.
Paws on my chest. Tongue near my face. Tail destroying the air around us.
My friend warned me. “Don’t worry, he’s friendly.”
Too late. Friendly had already made physical contact. Honor demanded I receive it. A man cannot refuse sincere diplomacy just because it arrives at forty miles per hour.
By the time I sat on the couch, I was a ruined man.
I was not clean. I was not balanced. I had been defeated by welcome.
A love that arrives before permission cannot be understood. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with American dogs. When the door opens, brace the soul.
Who am I deceiving. I want him to do it again. I was knocked backward by friendship, and I accept the treaty.

@CandidO12804434 @XFreeze The sad part is that "sore-ass is not even spending his own money. Money for this crap is STILL coming out of taxpayer pockets. Republicans have not stopped it

Protesters are standing outside JPMorgan Chase in New York this weekend, holding giant banners that say “STOP ELON • NO TRILLIONAIRES” and “ELON IS STEALING YOUR PENSION”
These people are protesting the greatest success story in modern history. Let’s look at the actual reality:
• Elon has already paid more in taxes than almost anyone alive
• Tesla and SpaceX employ well over 100,000 people and actively push humanity forward.
• Through DOGE, he already helped cut billions in wasteful government spending. That saved taxpayers hundreds of billions.....meaning he actually helped secure grandmas' pensions by slashing bureaucracy, not the other way around.
• Friday's historic SpaceX IPO didn't "steal" from anyone. It created massive value, turned everyday workers into millionaires, and rightfully made him the world’s first trillionaire
He didn’t steal anything. He built it from the ground up
His companies have created massive job growth, accelerated sustainable energy, and are literally building the infrastructure to make humanity multi-planetary
Rather than celebrating excellence, demanding the government punish it is pure evil
English

@XFreeze Oooh. They're mad because 401ks might include SPCX. Pensions wouldn't have anything to do with it. LOL

I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.

@reddit_lies "I'm mad at God because my life choices were 💩" is, unfortunately, the most common denomination of atheist on Reddit.

@dedwoodmarshul @BudLightSadness That's one way to wear a mullet.

@BudLightSadness I was doing 65 on Lake Verret and a mullet jumped up, hit my trolling motor, and smoked me in the face. Had on eye pro but my face hurt for a week

@japan_nobunaga One group of people has repeatedly destroyed the great works of civilization to replace them with the laws of a dead pederast. But go ahead and put trail cameras on some shrines if you require proof. It will continue.
English

It truly breaks my heart to say this...
Every day now, it feels like another irreplaceable piece of Japan’s ancient heritage — our shrines and temples — is being lost to fire.
The causes remain shrouded in mystery, the culprits unidentified in case after case.
There have even been devastating tragedies where innocent young children lost their lives in the flames.
I’ve also heard that facilities belonging to certain religions never seem to face the same fate.
I’m reaching out because I genuinely wonder: how is it in your countries?
If anyone has any insights, information, or suggestions that could help shed light on this or protect what remains of our sacred places, it would mean the world to me.
Please...

I can’t stop crying. Now a temple in Hokkaido has burned down. Seriously, who did this? I can’t forgive it.
