I hope yesterday proves just how disrespectful it was for fans to try and compare Van de Ven & Romero to Jan Vertonghen & Toby Alderweireld. I've never seen Jan play a NLD with such little care towards it like Micky did. As for Romero, I'm aware he didn't play but that's just another reason why Alderweireld was so much better. Because he was rarely unavailable, he never had a single red card or suspension for Spurs. Even yellow cards were rare for him. Romero is either suspended or injured 50% of the time. VDV's availability isn't exactly great either. Not to mention they were simply better defenders. The difference between them is night & day.

I don’t think they’ll go down, but I tell you what, looking at their fixtures it could be a genuine nervous end to the season for Spurs. I think our win yesterday now puts us mostly out of contention, albeit it won’t be mathematical for a while. Would be quite a thing if one of Spurs / West Ham / Forest go down.
