It seems now the 2nd Minister and Member for Fairfield (Sydney) representing the env is using rural tax payers money to gather city votes, jets, cars and all else included. Every rural community should be offended with this govt using them to get city votes.

@Fox_Farming @GribbleRC Don’t crack too many esp if had rain on them, generally a fine line between acceptable pods and cracked or skun peas.

Got the max thresh concave setting installed for chickpeas, the @GribbleRC threshing concave followed by half worn helical concave. Unthreshed pods beware!!!

@Voz_Dennis To quote an old bloke that farmed in our district 1940-70s. If our get too excited by summer rain you are ‘living in a fools paradise’.’ A hot dry Feb March will change perspective very quickly.

@BradenBullock Braden we assume tailwater has same N concentration as treated head ditch water as turn around back to field is continuous. Rainfall runoff into mix makes it tricky, usually pause irrigation for few days.

@QuigTony Interested in giving this a go - but concerned how do you handle tail water losses??

@CeRRF_Griffith @BradenBullock @CottonResearch We are on 2m beds with 300mm Floodpipes through bank on 24m rotabucks, so 12 furrows per pipe. N buggys generally give little trouble as long as have good batteries & solar panels, no lumps in urea and cover conveyor belt before 🌧️. Generally put over 200t urea per year thru them

@BradenBullock @QuigTony Looking into this right now in southern bankless channel systems with our @CottonResearch project. Are you on bankless or siphons? Would be great to hear your thoughts. Simple float switch preferred down here over n buggy. Less things to go wrong with jammed augers etc.

@QuigTony It’s been the best performer over the last 4 years of trials at home.

It’s been decades since we last grew an okra leaf cotton variety, but the new CSX4398B3XF we are trialing this season is fully loaded and looks the goods.

@turrawan Will, we apply about half the nitrogen pre plant (150 kg ha N) and the other half water run with first 3 in crop irrigations, allowing us to fine tune the total rate depending on petiole sample test results and estimated crop yield potential .

#Asktwitter anyone make a non genuine tow kit for a Quadtrac 550/600? CNH want $10k for genuine kit of a 37 mm wire rope, a rear attachment bracket and a front holding hook.
