@SSaravanagane @ByRakeshSimha American decline has been discussed since 1980s. I will not hold my Breath waiting for it. Even in the current AI, American companies are leading. We cannot underestimate. Even if America declines the nation that benefits most is China. Do not club east, china will not allow.

@ByRakeshSimha It is all going to be market driven. With a 35 trillion deficit, dollar will start to plummet. Nations with real wealth in form of gold will start to gain ascendency. Opportunities will arise in East and we will see the natural.movement

Highly impractical advice by Sridhar Vembu. 1. It's next to impossible for second generation Indian Americans to return to India. They were born and raised Americans, and cannot imagine moving to a country they know nothing about. 2. The toxic work culture in India, where 20% of your colleagues do nothing except politics, backbiting and apple polishing, makes it extremely difficult to work in India. 3. An Indian American born and raised in New York or even California will recoil at the heat of Delhi and the near 100% humidity of Kerala. 4. There is not a single large Indian metropolis where an Indian American can raise his children without exposing them to pollution and traffic jams. 5. Like Israel, India too can gain from its vast diaspora but first it must have purpose built cities where both foreigners and Indian returnees can work and enjoy a quality of life that is at par with global standards. By default these new cities must be built at elevations above 3,000 metres so at least weather-wise, things are under control. This is urgent for attracting foreigners into fields like AI because over 90% of the world's hottest cities are in India. 6. India should have strict labour laws which guarantee protection from scumbag bosses and sexual harassment. 7. Weekends should be no-calling days. If your boss calls you after 4pm on Friday, he must be reported to HR and reprimanded by management. If a festival falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then Monday should be off by law. This is the law and standard practice in NZ and Australia. 8. Sridhar Vembu means well. He is passionate about India and cares about the future of Indians in the West where anti immigration sentiment is expected to increase in the coming years. 9. But are there enough jobs and space in India for the nearly 25 million or so global Indian diaspora? 10. Older, wealthy Indians, whose children are settled, can afford to come back to India as there are plenty of gated communities across the country where life is as good as the West. But for the average H1-B immigrant earning $100,000 in the US, returning to India means commuting in Bengaluru's nightmarish traffic for a fraction of his American salary. He'd rather go work as a supermarket filler or rideshare driver and at least ensure his children become doctors.

Open letter to Indians in America. -- Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat: Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way. Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned. You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict. Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect. Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself. As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal. Respectfully Sridhar Vembu

@balu_sastry @SSaravanagane @ByRakeshSimha American empire could go down. Just like Roman and Greek. But no empire has this much influence and impact. No one knows when it will go down.

@SSaravanagane @RPudhucode @ByRakeshSimha exactly. India's private gold holdings are not even considered . Also, US debt to GDP ratio does not take into account the unfunded liabilities of social security, etc. I too agree that when the American empire shows visible decline, movement will naturally happen.

@SSaravanagane @ByRakeshSimha Sorry I meant it is this infra both physical and educational that is making America to create exceptional startups and lead the world. We don’t have infra neither physical nor educational and due to poor R&D is unable to create tech. Using American tech is not sufficient

@RPudhucode @ByRakeshSimha If you are going to use metrics, atkeast learn to use them properly. There is a world of difference between 86% Debt to GDp and 130% Debt to GDp. Also lot of wealth stored in hard commodities is not counted in GDP

@balu_sastry @SSaravanagane @ByRakeshSimha Then add all the cost of their safety net and infra that is provided . It is thus infeasible that gets tech startups and R$D. Have we come up any one tech on our R&D? We are good at being happy with American companies starting development centers and learning python and cobol.

@SSaravanagane @ByRakeshSimha Imagine if America didn’t SS or Medicare/meducaid or our infra no roads, public schools, sidewalks, sewage, running water, stable power, police infra, fire system infra, libraries, city parks, parking lots. If you remove the cost for all this debt to gdp will be less than India.

@LizAnnSonders @DataArbor This sort of inequality is ok. The inequality between me and Musk has grown over the last 19 years. I still made more money and accumulated more wealth. It’s only Musk increased 10000 times more than me. I can still live comfortably despite the inequality

Wealth in the U.S. is still heavily concentrated; top 10% (combo of orange, red, green bar segments) held $119 trillion in Q4 2025, nearly 70% of total wealth; top 0.1% (approximately 136,453 households) held roughly $25 trillion, or around $183 million per household @DataArbor

King's Cross needs a Station F style startup hub. The amount of AI talent in the area is insane. Imagine if there were 100 of the UK's top early stage builders all within the same square mile. Anybody know any billionaires willing to fund this 😂
Seb Johnson@SebJohnsonUK

First @GoogleDeepMind, then Wayve, Synthesia, OpenAI, Anthropic, and now Project Prometheus. If @demishassabis had let Google move DeepMind out of London none of this would have happened. Truly a generational move from the UK's Godfather of AI.

@marinebharat Your point on GDP. Your house in Delhi a 3BHK cannot be compared to a single family home in America. Add the cost of roads, sidewalks, sewage, running water, stable power, police infra, fire marshal service, parks, libraries, sidewalks and city parks amd libraries, sports infra

@TheAnkurTyagi @PranamAbhyuday This stupid comparison of a 25 rupees chai stall in Delhi cannot be compared to $3 coffee in NYC. First of all you need to drinkn7 cups of chai to get the same quantity as in a large coffee in McDonalds. Plus the ambience and other facilities.

Imagine if every NRI actually took your advice and they landed at airport tomorrow. do you have opportunities for all of them. Ans - NO NRIs are the backbone of India’s forex reserves and lifeblood of real estate market! so living abroad/living in India it’s all about individual choice you can’t add emotional angle! If America opens their gates today - 90% of Indians working in tech will be moved to America next day. American dream is still alive! I was in SF in April start and opportunities in SF is 100 times more than India and paid well. If someone gets a chance to work for a decade in America then they can change the trajectory of their future generations! Being a patriotic person is OK but it doesn’t help you achieve your individual dreams! If you removed 5-6 big metro cities where people are earning, spending and living a decent lifestyle, rest of the India is way behind even in basic income and facilities! It will take next 50 years to even reach the level of per capita income of USA!
