It's definitively the necklace. You can see the distinctive link pattern. The necklace is torn in half w/the free end whipping around & the pendant end getting caught under the shirt collar. Note the close-up of the cross pendant partly emerged from the shirt collar. You can also clearly see the necklace hanging off of Charlie as he hits the ground from the rear view.
