There's gonna be a lot of #BlueJays Opening Day roster discourse the next few days. But, a reminder, NONE of the six pitchers the Jays used on Opening Day last year were on the postseason roster. Three weren't even in the org.

I can't see any World where the Red Sox don't take Bastardo back if offered, so I would hope the Jays would do whatever they can to avoid that, even offering him to some non-contending NL team (Nats, Rockies, Cards) for the $100K they paid to get his rights in the first place.

I've seen some people suggest that the #BlueJays are putting Trey Yesavage on the IL for service time reasons or would option him before an IL stint. That's not the case. He will be put on the MLB IL and will continue to accrue MLB service time.
