Minecraft fans have gotta realize that ever since ya'll agreed to smaller drops, every new update wont appeal to your interests. This game has a wide and broad player base who have different likings and view the game in a lot of ways.

Get ready for the first look at Chaos Cubed! New sulfur caves are calling… but don’t get too comfortable. Step too close and your world might start to warp. Plus, meet the sulfur cube, a mob that evolves based on what it absorbs. Wood, ice, and beyond… the possibilities are endless! #MinecraftLIVE

@RHVGamer Recognize that a billion dollar company , the most sold game in the world should not be excused for making only small updates. Also I didn't see one person in the live chat say bad update just the fact that they would have liked more.

minecraft """"""""""""""""""""fandom"""""""""""""""""""" has to be one of the most pathetic communities in existence literally no matter what they add there's always an extremely loud and obnoxious crowd of people who do NOTHING but complain

@FabianHiller Something like const { code, deps } = compileToString(v.string()); const isString = Function(“d”, code)(deps); Also compiling at build time as of rn is significantly slower and more complex than at runtime (check typia)

@Revenode If we do, there will likely be no startup cost at all, as we compile at build time. But maybe I misunderstood you. Please feel free to clarify. Could you provide an example of how the API would expose the built content and dependencies?

How about we write a Valibot compiler that transforms your Valibot validation code at built time into optimized JS code? Valibot is already fast (see schemabenchmarks.dev) but this would probably make it one of the fastest TS schema libraries out there.

Ig I’m gonna try to implement otel myself Might need some help tho its a pretty complex set of libraries to reimplement
Jarred Sumner@jarredsumner

@DanielLockyer telemetry libraries are terrible for performance and memory usage they have to monkey-patch APIs and clone lots of data to make it work. they haven’t tried very hard to make it not slow

Problem: HTTP status codes in code aren't type safe and require looking them up or memorizing them all. Solution: http-status-codes Now I have autocomplete and strongly typed status codes that are easy to read later. And no more worries about typos or invalid codes slipping in. npmjs.com/package/http-s…

@coooooldudee yes, the Marlow persona was basically an elaborate operation by a guy named DangerMario who know exactly what he was doing at one point he even intended to stage Marlow’s suicide (“the pier plot”) so he could kill off the character before it blew up in his face

@DreamtOfSleep @nesieescup Who are most of her friends? If anyone said that they're probably involved in the scandal too. If you compare Marlow's 2021 and 2026 voice (it's on YouTube) they're very different and her voice does sound ai. Also for the telegram, flowtives said that it's her real account.

deciding to fake ur identity as a woman in a space that youve known isnt that open to woman, knowing full well you’d receive sympathy and immediate support from people just for you to harbor such horrible intentions on cheating your way to the top, profiting off of those around you, manipulating everyone including your friends, and having the ultimate goal of having this “character” commit suicide at the end . ultimately have set women in the pvp space up for failure, robbed tons of pvpers of their rightful position on tierlists, probably fucking traumatized the creators that were close to “marlow” god im so fucking disgusted for those that looked up to “marlow” and those that considered this character to be their friend.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely cooked CS, Soft Eng, Comp Eng and basically any tech/IT major is. Literally no one in my cohort bothers to write their own code anymore. People just hand in labs that are fully vibecoded and pass with grades above 90% and the profs do NOTHING

I actually think it’s a pretty stupid idea to have http stuff. Yes, Go sucks. It should absolutely have a TCP streaming and networking functionality because this is what actually built into your system. Though http is a standard on top of tcp that is changing. Why do you need it built in into your programming language?
chronark@chronark

wait, rust's standard library doesn't provide a tls implementation? are you telling me I need a library to do https requests?

Frankly, the most valuable resource is still the 🧠 human mind, and code has become so cheap. I don’t want PRs or issues made by AI. A clear sentence written by a human in an issue is a far more valuable contribution.
