@ZackGillies You can remove if you want to inspect . This boot will extend the life of gears and bearing set . It takes away the rattle & humm when operating and you will note that inspection & maintenance is greatly reduced

@RicksZone Do you remove it every year to inspect? We don’t have issues with the gears but the upper bearings. We find you have to pry on the gears to see the movement.
