@HPbasketball How much do you honestly think avoiding eachother in round 2 will matter for championship probability? Obviously having to play the Nuggets or Spurs is way better than Nuggets AND spurs but how much does it really help denver?

Situation in the West: if the Thunder beat both LA teams, they've locked the 1 and can rest. But if either team snags a win (Clippers obv more likely), then the game Friday vs. Denver is a conundrum. win and you lock the 1-seed. But by doing so you make it more likely Denver falls into the 4 spot, making it more likely you see them in the second round.
Denver fans are now rooting for the Thunder to win back to back games so they'll rest Friday and allow the two teams to stay the hell out of each other's way on Friday.
