This an awful, shocking case. Henry’s loved ones have gone through the trauma of a long trial and endured Henry's killer making up appalling claims about their son who was thoughtful, kind and deeply loved. It is right that the IOPC is investigating the police’s response to his senseless murder. And we must end the cycle of tragedy by tackling the horror of knife crime. Henry’s family, friends, his university and the city of Southampton will continue to feel his loss, and our thoughts will always be with them.

Japan has built a $2,500 cardboard drone. It actually flies fast while avoiding radar! At first, the military thought it was a joke. A plane made of… cardboard? Yet, this drone can travel nearly 80 km at over 100 km/h. And the craziest thing is that its material becomes an advantage. Cardboard reflects radar waves less than some conventional materials. As a result, it's harder to detect in the sky. Japan can even transport hundreds of them in a single container and assemble them in minutes. While some countries are building drones costing millions, they're focusing on machines that are practically disposable. Perhaps this is the new technological warfare: Simple, ultra-fast weapons… produced like Amazon packages. Subscribe to discover incredible human advancements in five minutes a day.

The Unite the Kingdom march organisers are spreading hatred and division. They do not reflect the Britain I’m proud of. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right and one I will always protect. But if protest turns violent, we will act swiftly, with extra court capacity in place.

Keir Starmer is correct about the need to heal divisions. But to equate protest of the genocide in Gaza with the hate march led by Tommy Robinson is a disgrace. If Starmer thinks this is how we heal divisions it shows he hasn't begun to understand the problem.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

Today the voices of division will be loud. They don't speak for the country I know, one that belongs to all of us. That's our Britain. A Britain worth fighting for. lbc.co.uk/article/keir-s…

@PolitlcsUK A selfish man who only cares about his grudge against Nigel Farage. Andy Burnham will benefit and Andy Burnham will scrap the much needed ILR reforms.

I welcome HMRC’s conclusion, which has cleared me of any wrongdoing. I have been exonerated by HMRC of the accusation that I deliberately sought to avoid tax. When purchasing a home of my own with a mortgage, I did not own any other property and had no personal financial interest in the court-instructed trust set up to manage my son’s financial award. I was advised by experts that I should pay stamp duty at the standard rate. I set out to pay the correct amount of tax. I took reasonable care and acted in good faith, based on the expert advice I received, and HMRC has accepted this. I have always sought to act with integrity, and I believe politicians should be held to high standards - that is why I resigned from government and cooperated fully with HMRC.  I wanted to ensure that I paid every penny that I owed, and have done so. I am relieved that my family can now move on - and that I can get on with my job.

These are tough results for Labour. There’s no sugarcoating it. We’ve lost brilliant Labour representatives who’ve stood up for their communities. People are still frustrated. Their lives aren’t changing fast enough. We haven’t offered enough hope or optimism for the future. I was elected to change this country - tough days like this don’t weaken my determination to do that. They strengthen it.

Vote Labour! Reject the scammer to the left, the fraud to the right. Labour Cllrs work hard to fix local problems - this isn’t a vote on Gaza (I can’t believe I’m having to say that).

You can’t trust Reform UK with our NHS. Nigel Farage would make working people like you pay the price to access the healthcare you and your family need. Vote Labour May 7 to protect the NHS – and make sure it’s there for all of us. 🌹

In 2024 the Police tasered this guy and then kicked him in the head when he was on the floor. Zack Polanski was right to bring it up, the Police seem to think tasers are to be used to kick suspects in the head easier.
