CONFLICT. Obama-appointed Judge Christopher Cooper just ordered Trump’s name stripped from the Kennedy Center. He ruled only Congress can change the name Congress gave it in 1964. Fair enough on the statute. But now a conservative watchdog has filed a formal judicial misconduct complaint against him. They say he should have recused. Why? His wife Amy Jeffress is a longtime Democrat lawyer who represented Lisa Page, worked with the Jan 6 committee, and currently represents Joe Biden in lawsuits against Trump’s DOJ. They got married with Merrick Garland officiating. She doesn’t even use the Cooper name. Trump called it out directly. The judge’s household has deep financial and professional ties to the exact side fighting Trump. Yet Cooper kept the case and ruled against the rename. This is how trust in the courts dies. Same players, same circles, different robes. When does the appearance of conflict become too obvious to ignore?

Celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk: acceptable. Making fun of Erika Kirk because she’s not mourning the way you think she should: acceptable. Today, the Mass was denied to me in Ávila (Spain). I am the chaplain of a pilgrimage group from the United States. This pilgrims usually attend the Traditional Latin Mass, so they wanted to be accompanied by a priest who would celebrate in the Old Rite. We had the chapel booked, but we were told that this rite required authorization from the Bishop. I went to the Episcopal Curia to request the authorization, so the Mass could take place. However, the Bishop, not to me personally, but through the Vicar General, categorically stated: “That Mass is prohibited in this diocese.” Prohibited why? And by what authority? Has this rite been abrogated? I was going to celebrate it in a chapel with the group of pilgrims. What harm could possibly come to the world? The rite is exactly the same one used in the convents of the Discalced Carmelites, stemming from the reform of Saint Teresa of Ávila and Saint John of the Cross. The rite was good for those great saints, but now it is bad for us? The Code of Canon Law - Canon 932 §1 - prohibits Masses outside of sacred places, except in cases of necessity: “The Eucharistic celebration must be carried out in a sacred place unless, in a particular case, necessity requires otherwise; in that case, it must be celebrated in a decent place.” In this case, there was no necessity to celebrate the Mass in a hotel room, since we were surrounded by chapels and churches with beautiful altars (that are almost never used). The necessity was created by the Bishop himself, who, instead of promoting sacred things, decided to prohibit them. Who benefited from the Mass being celebrated in a profane place? Was Our Lord more praised in a hotel room than He would have been in a church? Were the souls of the faithful more edified by seeing a table serving as an altar? It is normal for people to be scandalized by these tyrannical and anti-pastoral decisions, especially from those who claim that everyone is welcome in the Church. But not everyone is. That is quite clear. I have gone through several similar episodes before and remained silent. But this must be denounced, this cannot be the normal state of the Church. Pope Leo must act quickly to put an end to these abuses of authority.

By far my biggest challenge as a father will be keeping these two humble and grounded. This is NOT real life… but what a view!

I've just heard 3 people who were reporting on riots in Northern Ireland using their YouTube accounts have been arrested. They were not involved in any rioting, they are not involved in any criminal activity. They are looking to do anther Southport to clamp down on free speech. #TwoTierKeir

🚨WHAT THE HELL?!!! A mother stepped in front of an armed Black male robber to protect her son… …AND HE SH0T HER IN THE HEAD AS SHE RAN AWAY!!!!! Read that again… as she RAN AWAY. Her name was Jean Gragg, she was 40 years old. Her son had arranged to sell a watch on Facebook Marketplace. The buyer came to their own home in South Bend, Indiana. Police say that 18-year-old buyer, John Ford, pulled out a gun, said “I need it,” and tried to rip the watch out of the son’s hands. Jean did what a mother does… she stepped BETWEEN them. She put herself in front of the gun and chased him off her property. Then, police say, surveillance video shows the coward turning and firing at her MULTIPLE TIMES as she turned around and ran back toward her house. He sh0t her in the head. He threw the gun over a fence and ran. On Saturday, Jean Gragg sadly passed away. He is now charged with M*RDER. WE. DO. NOT. HAVE. TO. LIVE. LIKE. THIS!!!!!!!!! Say her name. Jean Gragg.

I’ve been looking into Teddy Roosevelt lately. He loses his wife and mother on the same day. That’s a trauma that could cause a man to end it all. What does he do? He leaves NYC and heads to the Badlands. THE BADLANDS. Reinvents himself. Finds his soul. An absolute heroes journey if ever there was one. Went from having nothing to live for to having everything to live for. There is something nourishing about these uniquely American lands that cannot be put into words. I remember feeling quite despondent myself once upon a time. Then I moved to the Mojave desert and it changed everything. I found there’s nothing deserted about the desert at all. What it lacks in physical life, it makes up for in the spiritual. The esoteric. I cannot explain what I’m trying to say about America. Don’t have the right words today. But I know this place can remake a man like no other on planet earth.

This is among the scripture I pull on frequently. I started leaning into it in the very tough days of USAF pilot training. And then, again and again, when flying into harm’s way, whether combat or special operations. I encourage you to lean on it when times are challenging: Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Amen. And good night! ❤️🙏🇺🇸

When I said this throughout my campaign, CNN people called me cruel and unhinged. Now, after they helped secure the election for the 2 dorks responsible for all these problems, CNN is now echoing my campaign talking points as gospel. Fascinating!

At my age, birthdays are really special. At least that's what my bride tells me. I'll be 90 next year- God willing and the creeks don't rise. This year, we are going back to my hometown for a few days.
