In case it wasn't already obvious, privatisation is the cause of the scandal in our water industry. Only an end to this disastrous experiment and a return to public ownership and democratic control of our water will fix this crisis. Please sign. @WindrushWasp @Feargal_Sharkey

The rain is back and so is the sewage. - 71% of the Earth is covered in water - The human body is roughly 60% water - Humans can survive mere days without water Why have we sold the most vital resource on the planet to be abused like this for profit?

@LBC It doesn't have to be this way. We have a petition calling for a return to public ownership which is about to pass 300k signatures. Everybody wants it, except for those with the power to do it. Please sign and share ⤵️ #DirtyBusiness change.org/nationalise-wa…

"Water companies hide true scale of sewage spills" We don't know the half of it. Water companies are permitted to pollute and obscure the truth, knowing that if they do get caught the punishment will barely dent the profits generated. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/0…

They're doing absolutely none of these but are excelling at: - Gaslighting the public - Abandoning the environment - Prioritising foreign ownership over British water In short, carrying on the fine work of their Conservative predecessors.

We are expanding the WaterSure scheme to help thousands more families with their water bills. Under our new reforms, we’re putting customers first, protecting the environment and securing a water system fit for the future.

Well let's name them, it's @SouthernWater. They've instructed bailiffs 38,000+ times against struggling customers over a 5 year period. All while hiking bills, paying dividends and pouring sewage into our water. They are reprehensible and should have their license revoked.
Sky News@SkyNews

Some water companies are instructing bailiffs as they try to recover customers' debt more than 6,000 times in a single year, new data reveals. Read the full story🔗⬇️ trib.al/BgynaMJ

@LarocheCS @BarryGardiner "financially stable"? Which obviously explain why Thames Water are trying to borrow another £823 million having already spent £1.42 billion of their bailout money. "financially stable", sinking ship more like.

Outrageous! These people fail the public and then think they can avoid being held to account by seeking a court injunction against the Regulator. South East Water don’t want transparency because they cannot justify their own incompetence. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
