@SVAlwaysHome If I had to rip it out and twist the wires I'm still not paddling. I just don't see any part of this story as plausible. He wasn't moored and had a paddle in a 7' dink. How far away could she possibly have been. We know she was a strong swimmer even if he isn't MacGyver

100% chance this guy killed his wife. I have never heard a bigger BS story. He claims he paddled for hours to get help because she "fell off" wearing the tether and the motor died. As if there isn't any way he couldn't have saved her. Or hold the button in.

Have you ever looked at itemization of your Disney Resort bill? This is one nights charge, the first three charges appear on each day and are different based on the room rate for the day. Your thoughts?

@BamaSaltyMarine In Georgia, it Lafayette vs La-Fayette. If you watch "Big Jake", there is a whole scene about this pronunciation.

Two sisters from the mid-west were on a road trip across the U.S. As they were tooling across East Texas they began seeing signs for a town called Nacogdoches. This prompted some heated discussion between the sisters about how the name of the town should be pronounced. One sister was of the opinion that the g was silent and the che s part was pronounced like the word cheese. The other, that the gd combination resulted in a soft j sound and the c he s part was pronounced shay. Each time they passed a new sign naming the town of Nacogdoches the discussion would begin again. Finally they arrived in the town itself. The one sister said to the other Let's stop in that little restaurant there and get lunch. We'll ask a local how they pronounce their town's name and settle this once and for all! So the ladies park and enter the establishment. They walk up to the counter and order their lunch, and as she pays the clerk the first sister asks "Could you please say the name of this place for us? We've been seeing the signs and arguing about the pronunciation of it for an hour now. If you could just say the name of this place out loud, that would be ever so helpful! The clerk looks from one lady to the other, shrugs and says, very slowly and clearly "Burrr ... gerrrr ... King."

@YatesAndrea @classic_film Without a Clue was hilarious! Loved it. 7% solution was a next to perfect Holmes/Watson story. I can watch it over and over. Nicol Williamson was one of my favorite actors.

@classic_film Series: Also going with Brett. Just the perfect Holmes my opinion. Sherlock (Cumberbatch) I liked this modern take. Films: Hound of the Baskervilles (1939) The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976) Without a Clue (1988) is a silly but fun reversal of Holmes and Watson’s roles

Does anyone know a single person that enjoyed having Jason Kelce do his schtick at The Masters? A tradition unlike any other…

@miles_commodore We absentee vote as we are currently not living in our city of residency. We're in the Bahamas and won't be back in America for some time. It will cost money for your mail to get to us, but, we will vote. When we return to the US, we will either go back there , or, move 😀

I’m a simple guy so maybe I’m missing something. Absentee ballots should be extremely rare, people should show up in person to vote with ID, Election Day should be a Federal Holiday, and every county should have enough locations to vote. I don’t get it.

@Jimfrombaseball You can still see the golf course in Vero. If you go to the corner of 43rd ave and 26th St. (next to the Dtown complex) You can see some of the tee boxes and some fairways. In an Ariel view, most of the course stands out. MLB should reopen it as part of the complex.

"He built golf course at Vero Beach so black players who couldn’t play on local courses could play. Blacks and whites always roomed together on Dodgers when other clubs weren’t doing this. On the Dodger plane you got fed but still got your meal money, their clubs would deduct the plane food from your meal allowance. In spring training, Mr. O’Malley would have your clothes cleaned, and still give you a cleaning allowance." Maury Wills on Walter O`Malley. "I was in Phoenix. On the way out of the hotel at about 7:00 in the morning, I got a newspaper. I had a good night. There was a quote from Ty Cobb. Ty Cobb saw me play my last game in the minor leagues. Ty Cobb said: “I like the way that kid slides.” Later on, I checked and his slide and my slide are identical. The way I slide was something I learned on the playground from the old guys that played on the weekends. They played the Negro League style ball, and they always slid low so they couldn’t tag you." Maury Wills. In my HOF!!!!

@its_The_Dr Go back to older shows and watch Jonathan Winters. A lot of Williams mannerisms he got from Winters. One of the reasons Winters ended up on Mork and Mindy was that Williams highly respected Winters.

@mitchellvii Try renting a few cars you might like. We don't own a car currently, but, when we do decide we need one, I'd look at buying a used rental. (For clarity, we live on a sailboat and are cruising south thru the Bahamas, this no need for a car.

𝗜'𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗔𝗥. I love my current car, but it's getting a little long in the tooth. From what I've seen out there, everything is basically overpriced crap. Also car dealerships are EMPTY - we're talking NO CUSTOMERS. If you buy anything new, you get 𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 in the first two years. I mean, you're insanely upside down from the moment you drive off a lot. Leasing can be better, but you're limited on miles. So now I have a choice. 1. Lease something new (I don't drive much so the miles don't really matter). 2. Buy used (2 years old, low miles, most of the depreciation is it already priced in). 3. Buy new (this is a hard no - depreciation is brutal). What should I do?
