@actionxander @xploristsociety Amazing photo. I watched a swallow-tailed kite overhead days ago for over ten minutes while swimming in the Withlacoochee. While swimming in the Gulf just a few days prior to that, I watched the Blue Angels fly overhead. Could Florida be any less awesome of a state?

Honestly, the idea of my stories being fed into AI detection tools the moment I hit publish makes me feel sick. I know I can't fully escape that as a writer right now, but I'm working on transitioning my short stories and poetry off Substack and into a monthly mail club instead…sent by human hands, read by human hands. It's slower and smaller, but it's mine, and it's yours, without anything in between. I’m still working out the details. More to come soon.
